When he was eventually brought to trial, the requested sentence was so severe that it was later called the longest prison sentence ever sentenced to criminals. 384,912 years, 9 years for each letter not delivered to the addressee - this is exactly what the sentence of the 22-year-old postman almost became.
By the way, some sources claim that in fact, Grandos went to prison for only 14 years and 2 months, and the terrible announced term was only a request from the prosecutor, and it was the prosecutor's request, and not the real term, that should be called a record.
