According to ancient treatises, prana is a life force, a universal energy that permeates everything around (in China it is called "qi" energy).

Air, sun, water

The word "prana" is translated from Sanskrit as "breath, life" - that is, it is both at the same time. Inhaling prana, we acquire the energy of life. Plants, sunlight, water also contain prana.

The concept of prana has existed for thousands of years, but little was known about it in the West, although the most curious researchers have long been interested in this unknown energy. But the scientific world met their developments coldly. But still, millions of people believed in the existence of prana - even in the skeptical West, not to mention the billions of people in India, China and other Asian countries.

It is interesting that even in the USSR, where esoteric knowledge was banned and dissidents were literally persecuted, knowledge about yoga and prana still floated out.

For example, in the 1965 cult novel by the Strugatsky brothers "Monday begins on Saturday", the protagonist began the morning by absorbing prana: “I grimaced, sat up in bed and first took a full breast of prana mixed with the cold morning air. For some time I waited for the prana to be assimilated, and in accordance with the recommendation I thought about light and joyful things."

True, the hero worked at the Research Institute of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the story was fantastic, but this phrase suggests that the Strugatskys knew about the presence of prana and its meaning, and from someone they received this knowledge.

Qi circulation

How can knowledge of prana help our health? According to ancient treatises, the more prana in the body, the healthier, stronger, more energetic, more successful, richer, etc. we are. And therefore it is important for a person to be nourished with prana to the maximum. To do this, you should be in the fresh air as much as possible, drink clean water, eat good food, absorbing prana at all levels.

But getting energy is not enough. There are many people who live in the village or spend the whole summer in the country and absorb enough prana. But all the same, they get sick, feel apathy, complain about life.

The fact is that prana is an energy that should circulate freely within us. In our body there is a network of subtlest channels for this. But usually, all channels of energy circulation are blocked - due to an incorrect lifestyle.

These very thin channels are "clogged" from junk food, bad water, lack of adequate sleep and rest, negative emotions. And the energy stops circulating, and we become lethargic and painful.

You can get rid of this by changing your lifestyle and diet, as well as with the help of physical exercises, which open the channels for the circulation of prana.

As a child, we ran from morning to night and remained vigorous, and after 40-50 years it is difficult for us to walk a couple of kilometers. And it's not that we've gotten older. There are people who run marathons even at 80 and even 90 years old and are as energetic as in childhood. But they are making some effort for this - and we could be the same if we followed their example.

Vigorous people adhere to a certain lifestyle, which usually completely coincides with the ancient recommendations of Ayurveda. And, sometimes, without even realizing it, they are engaged in opening the channels for the circulation of prana in their body.

But not all exercise is beneficial. Sometimes people move a lot, for example, loaders or active gardeners, but at the same time their arms, legs, backs are very sore.

The fact is that the load should be even, and during hard work, the same muscles and joints are usually involved - year after year. As a salvation from this, there are yoga and Chinese qigong gymnastics - the exercises of which are specially designed to warm up absolutely all parts of the body, and open all the channels of prana (qi energy) circulation.

Therefore, it is important to know - if you knead every muscle of your body, eat a lot of vegetables, breathe fresh air, then your body will regain its lost youth and health.
