In less than a year, more than 10 people died at railway crossings in the Chernihiv region. Cars are hit by the Kiev-Saint Petersburg train. Cars only in light colors. No one survived the accidents. On February 2, at noon, near the village of Anisov, Chernihiv region, a train hit a sixth model Zhiguli. The locomotive speed was about 90 km / year. Oleg Rusmanenko, a 38-year-old citizen of Chernigov, was driving the car, next to him was his mother Galina Mitrofanovna, 70 years old. We went to the village of Veresoch, Kulikivsky district, to attend the funeral of relatives.

“The driver's actions seemed strange to me,” recalls Nikolai Bas, the train driver. - He drove up to the crossing, stopped at a traffic light. When the train was near, the driver started abruptly. I applied emergency braking, but the collision could not be avoided.

From the impact, the "Zhiguli" was torn in half. The front part and the engine flew away by 30 m. The salon was crushed under the locomotive, it was pulled along the track for almost 800 m. The driver and passenger were killed. To retrieve their bodies, rescuers sawed through the remains of the car. In order for the train to travel further, the front bump stop was cut. The movement was delayed for 2 hours. 20 min.

“I was supposed to be with my brother and mother,” says 44-year-old Alexander Rusmanenko, brother of the deceased. - But at the last moment I was not released from work. Oleg has a son, Misha, and a wife.

Neither relatives nor rescuers can explain the driver's actions. Similar accidents happen at level crossings every few months. Nobody knows why the drivers suddenly go out on the track.

On May 6, 2008, at the same crossing, the train hit "fret". A family of five died. They were on their way to visit relatives on memorial Sunday. A professional was driving. He worked as a minibus taxi driver, 20 years of driving experience.

On January 13, 2009, near the village of Veresoch, a train hit a first model Zhiguli. Two men died.

On November 19, 2008, three people died at the same place. The Kiev – St. Petersburg train collided with a "nine ladder".

- These two crossings - near the villages of Anisov and Veresoch - are damned, - the train drivers say. They are also supported by drivers from the surrounding villages.

“Strange things have been happening at level crossings since 2006,” say employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate. - It was then, on October 13, at the crossing between Nizhyn-Dubolugovka, that I got hit by a Lada train of the 99th model. There was a couple of lovers who were planning to get married. The guy was 23 years old, his beloved - 18. The girl died. She was wearing a white dress.

Chernihiv traffic cops say that after that incident at the crossing, drivers often see a ghost of a woman with loose hair in a white dress. It is she who pushes cars on the tracks. It does this when there is a hundred meters left to the train, so no one can escape. This ghost, they say, chooses only light-colored cars, the Kiev-St. Petersburg train and people traveling to a funeral, commemoration or memorial Sunday. No one survives, even when the damage is minor.

In 2006, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine established round-the-clock security at the crossings. We built special cabins, equipped them with stoves - "stoves". We set up security. However, a few months later a soldier was hit by a train. He died. After that, the guard was removed.
