The HP RoboCop police robot, developed by Knightscope and patrolling the parking lot, was unable to help the woman who approached him. In response to pressing the emergency button of the police, the robot asked her to "get out of the way" and continued to patrol the area. Writes about this CNN.

The incident took place in early October in a supermarket parking lot in Salt Lake City. A woman named Kogo Gebara saw the fight and approached a robot patrolling the area to call the police.

However, after pressing the emergency call button, HP RoboCop initially did not react at all, and then asked Gebara to "get out of the road" and continued to patrol the parking lot along a predetermined path. As a result, the woman had to call 911 - the ambulance doctors who arrived took one of the participants in the fight to the hospital with a skull injury.

In a conversation with the publication, a Knightscope spokesman said that patrolling the street parking lot is part of a pilot project launched by the company. And the emergency call button has not yet been connected to the police department - all calls at this stage go first to Knightscope.
