“There are such (development of weapons with artificial intelligence - approx. TASS). Already now, robotic systems are not only being developed, but also undergoing trial operation. Kalashnikov, High-Precision Complexes, Tekhmash and others have similar developments. Everyone in their part is doing this kind of work,”Abramov said.
According to him, such a weapon, among other things, will be able to independently make a decision to undermine the target. “But this is a very serious decision, so much still depends on the human operator. By sending the complex to a fully automatic mode, a person must be absolutely sure that the target is correct and the enemy will be destroyed,”added the industrial director of the cluster.
Kalashnikov, Tekhmash, High-precision complexes have prototypes, TsNIITOCHMASH has some elements. "Such solutions have long been used in multiple launch rocket systems (Tekhmash - TASS). But artificial intelligence is not just a replacement of a person with a machine, it is an opportunity to provide greater controllability," Abramov said.
Rostec's new breakthrough weapons, he said, provide Russia with "a significant advantage over the weapons and military equipment of potential adversaries."
