In Kyrgyzstan, they started looking for an unknown animal killing livestock. According to rumors spread among the local population, we are talking about the Chupacabra.
Searches for the creature are being conducted on the territory of the Kochkor region of the Naryn region (in the central part of the republic). According to the director of the State Veterinary Inspectorate Samir Osmonaliev, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, police, hunting inspections and veterinarians are involved in them.
“So far we have data on 26 heads of cattle and 13 chickens that were killed by this creature. We carry out appropriate activities. For example, there are raids in the Kochkor region. If the Chupacabra is shot, we will investigate its remains and the remains of the animals killed by it,”the official said, reporting to parliament members.
MP Dastanbek Dzhumabekov noted that the local population is concerned. “People contacted me, one animal appeared, at night it cuts the throat of animals and drinks blood, does not eat meat. We call the creature that drinks blood a vampire. More than 100 head of cattle have died,”he says.
The parliamentarian added that local residents are already afraid to go out. The plenipotentiary in the Naryn region, Amanbai Kayipov, in turn, asked not to raise a panic.
Earlier in the region, according to Turmush.kg, a headquarters was created to study information about an unknown creature. According to Radio Azattyk (the local service of Radio Liberty), he was seen, in particular, by a woman named Nasyikat, although she could not see it well because of the darkness. “I went out at night and saw how it was eating chickens. Sensing me, it ran away. The next day I saw scratches from three nails on the wall,”she said.
Local residents said that the Chupacabra lives in the cemetery. According to the plenipotentiary, hunters were involved to verify this information. They, according to him, "together with the local police intend to use smoke bombs to try to lure this creature out of the cemetery, if it exists, and destroy it."
For the murder of a Chupacabra, a reward of five thousand soms (approximately 3.2 thousand rubles) was announced. At the same time, the police expressed the opinion that stray dogs could cause panic among the local population. Several dogs have already been shot amid rumors in the Chupacabra.
