The reason for this is that the trees will begin to adjust to the changing climatic background.
As a result, trees will stop absorbing carbon dioxide and, possibly, will begin to emit it.
This will lead, according to the authors of the work, that the greenhouse effect on the Earth will intensify and this will aggravate global warming.
As part of the work, the chemical composition of all types of plants on four continents was studied. According to the findings of the researchers, the percentage of nitrogen in the structure of plants is lower when the concentration of carbon dioxide is high in the air.
It is noted that the opinion of Swedish scientists is shared by American ecologists, who believe that by 2100, plants will revolt against an unreasonable person and will stop sharing nitrogen.
