Russian developers are creating a new NS platform for electricity management and metering on the blockchain. It will help to reduce the consumption of electricity, it will independently record data related to the volume of its production, consumption, and will be able to automatically issue invoices, TASS reports.
According to the creators of the system, their project has every chance of being widely used in the energy sector and will help to abandon a complex system of intermediaries. The simplicity, flexibility and reliability of the NS system will allow you to quickly, everywhere and without intermediaries, implement it and immediately start using it both in small settlements and in cities with a population of one million.
After the project is implemented, consumers will be able to pay for electricity automatically, so the blockchain system will help to avoid filling out paper receipts and online forms, and payment commissions will no longer affect the cost of electricity. The founder of the project Jan Koifmann noted that in the future the project will become a multifunctional platform that can be scaled up to other energy sectors.
The developers do not say exactly when it is planned to introduce the new system, but, apparently, the wait is not very long. The blockchain is not a counter, you cannot rewind it, so manufacturers are probably interested in introducing such an innovation in the first place.
