Wee Xian Lan, 33, lives in Nanning County, China. In early childhood, she grew up like a completely ordinary child, but at the age of 4-5 years, her growth practically stopped.
Even when she became an adult, her height was only 93 cm and her weight was 28 kg. According to doctors, Lan has a rare form of dwarfism caused by an abnormality of the pituitary gland.
Due to her anomaly, Lan was never able to work and was supported first by her parents, and then by her brother.
At the same time, Lan herself dreamed, like all women, to find a beloved man and start a family with him. "But who needs a dwarf wife?" - she thought and cried at night.
But in 2016, Lan unexpectedly met a man named Li Tan through social media. First, friendship arose between them, then friendly relations, and then they decided to get married. Tan didn’t care about Lan’s height, but they did have many common interests.
When they began to live as husband and wife, the problem arose with the possibility of having a child. For Lan's small stature, pregnancy could become deadly and even if she could bear a fetus, the baby could also be born a dwarf. The doctors warned her about this too.
But a year later, Lan suddenly realized that she was pregnant. It happened quite by accident and the question of abortion immediately arose, but the woman nevertheless decided to give birth, since "God wished so." All of her family members and her husband's family immediately became concerned about her health and put Lang on a hospital record.

If there was the slightest threat to Lan's life, she would immediately be advised to terminate the pregnancy. But weeks, months passed and everything was relatively well. On the first ultrasound images, it was possible to discern that the child had normal body proportions. This additionally gave Lan an incentive to carry the child to the end.
Lan's belly was getting bigger and her husband Tang joked that she looked like a pregnant 4-year-old girl. He also referred to his wife with love and affection as "the little princess." And in order to better provide for her and the child, he began to take on additional work.
In the later stages, Lan became very difficult to walk, her stomach outweighed her body, and her internal organs were severely compressed by the fetus. Lan was now almost constantly under the supervision of doctors. To do this, she and her husband rented a hotel room next to the hospital.
At the 37th week of pregnancy, when Lan's belly became very huge and it was already difficult for her to even breathe, the doctors decided to have a cesarean section. On the street next to the hospital, relatives of Lan and Tang were waiting for a positive outcome, as well as a bunch of journalists who learned about the unique bearing of a child by a dwarf woman.
The child was safely born and weighed 2.650 kg with a height of 46 cm, that is, everything is within normal limits. He turned out to be completely healthy, and his mother safely underwent surgery.
