In Christian mythology, Balthazar is a demon that seduces a person from the true path. But in Judaism, Balthazar was originally not a demon, but a really existing historical figure. He was the last king of Babylon to be remembered for an incredible feast he hosted. The Jews, whom the Babylonians conquered, tended to see them as incredible villains, and this, in an even more exaggerated form, was converted to Christianity.
Balthazar became a demon, his mother was a demoness, and his father was an ordinary person. Balthazar is not directly a demon, but is a demonic entity. The essence of Balthazar is changeability in everything, including appearance. Sometimes he may look like a person, while in other cases he appears in a typical demonic form - with a flushed face, tail and horns. Balthazar dramatically changes his mood, he can be angry or deceptively calm and quiet. He is distinguished by irrepressible rage and lust. Balthazar's unpredictability is one of his most dangerous traits.
At the same time, Balthazar's behavior depends on his appearance. If he appears as a demon, then he is insidious and furious, he seeks out healers and witches who help people and deals with them.
In human form, he behaves almost like a person. He loses his thirst to bear death, he can experience love for his neighbor. This is how the human part acts on him.
But even in human form, Balthazar remains unpredictable. At any moment, his demonic essence can break through and he will destroy those to whom he has just confessed his love. Balthazar has the ability to reincarnate, therefore he is able to introduce himself as anyone, easily rubbing into trust and using demonic slyness to create friendly ties.
In his demonic form, Balthazar is able to destroy enemies with fireballs, can suddenly disappear and appear. It is believed that he does not remember his origin and long past. He considers himself a great warrior, a destroyer of witches and a seducer of people. He believes that he has been in the world for only one hundred and fifty years. The unpredictability of this demon leads to the fact that he is ready to serve the one who offers him a large payment. Thus, even if anyone succeeds in subduing Balthazar, it would be incredibly foolish to hope for his loyalty. After all, there can always be someone who will offer more.
Balthazar is a master of intrigue. It is almost impossible to come to an agreement with him. Whatever treasure the sorcerer offers him, even if it comes to the human soul, Balthazar can break the contract at any time simply because it seems more beneficial to him, well, or simply for the sake of his own unpredictability.
