Shamans believe that the whole world is spiritualized. Forests, lakes, rivers, mountains, fields are inhabited by spirits that can both help people and harm.

What, according to shamans, needs to be done to attract spirits to their side?

Shamans believe that a person must understand: he is not the crown of creation and is no different from any other representative of the animal or plant world. The appearance of a person is just a shell that can be changed.

They also believe that there is no insurmountable line between the world of the living and the dead. Shamans believe that they can cross this line in any direction and, having communicated with the ancestors of people, convey a warning or a message from them.

The dead help the living, because they are the same, only who have passed into another space. It is believed that shamans, having seen a person for the first time, can warn him of mortal danger and, having performed a rite on this person, save him.

Amazing healings by shamans could be considered fiction and invention, if not for the testimony of people who study them.

Associate professor of NEFU, famous historian and ethnographer Anatoly Afanasyevich Alekseev has been studying shamans for 21 years and his life is full of amazing events. For example, the story of the healing of his sick heart is very interesting.

Then I cite the story of Anatoly Afanasyevich:

“After a heart attack in 1995, I was in the cardiological hospital in Yakutsk with coronary heart disease. He was treated for 3 weeks, and the forecasts were disappointing. Then I learned that an Udagan woman named Matryona Petrovna Kulbertinova lived in a reindeer herding camp in Iyengra, she was then 107 years old.

After the hospital I flew there, to Iyengra by plane and by car to the camp. It was in the spring, around March 7, 1995. And when I first entered Matryona Petrovna's tent, she was such a small woman, and she looked at me and said, "What a young sick man he has come about." I was 47 then, she was 107, and she seemed young to her.

And so she gave orders to her assistants, relatives, to plant 9 larches near the tent, and to tie a young deer, 2-3 years old, "vazhenka" to a separate larch. And from the western side of the tent, and the tent was small, women never entered - for shamans such details are very important.

Early in the morning before sunrise, they woke me up, went into the tent, in which were all the workers of the camp. They put on a costume for the udagan, and the rite of ritual began. I timed the time, the Udagan kamlala for 40 minutes, then she ordered everyone to leave. She followed her out, knocking with a tambourine, and said to hug the deer's neck. So the healing process began.

Matryona Petrovna stood by her side and chanted, striking a tambourine. She sang in the Tungus language, no one understood the words, these were archaic words coming from time immemorial. And so she directed a tambourine to the deer and to my chest and back during the ritual. So it took about 15 minutes, then everyone returned to the tent.

She lit her pipe and said: “That's all Anatoly, I have replaced your sick heart with a healthy young deer heart. Then you will go to your home in Sebyan-Kyuel of the Kobyayskiy ulus, to the reindeer herders, and upon arrival they must slaughter a fresh reindeer and then be sure to drink a mug of fresh reindeer blood. Your heart will ache for another year, but after that your heart will recover."

And for more than 20 years after a heart attack, my heart does not bother me, I lead an active life, climb the mountains as part of scientific expeditions, regularly fish and hunt, including mountain sheep in the mountains.

I myself am a master of sports of the USSR in freestyle wrestling, the old generation knows me as a wrestler. And although in the Tungus culture a lot is connected with deer, the fact that a person's heart is replaced by a deer during treatment by a shaman - I first learned about this then, from Matryona Kulbertinova. And so, I believe that this is a very interesting phenomenon, a deer heart in a person's chest thanks to the will of the shaman. But I was and remain a communist, I was taught a materialistic view of the world, that religion is "opium for the people." But fact is fact"

Here is another story by Anatoly Afanasyevich:

“Anyone has psychic abilities. So is my generation. I am 68 years old, and I can predict the future from my dreams, from various signs. People usually think that animals do not have consciousness, but in fact even a small field or domestic mouse (deer, horse) informs the owner with a special behavior that he is expecting him for three years. You just need to be able to read encrypted messages.

And a modern person watches more TV, sticks to the phone and thinks that he is the ruler of the world, and believes that he will conquer the world with his will. Nothing of the kind, a person is a grain of sand in the universe.

It is no coincidence that "Woe from Wit" is as a sign from above, as a warning: if a person begins to conquer nature, he will destroy himself. Now medicine has "dismembered" a person in parts. There appeared doctors of the ear, throat, nose … And Eastern medicine, including shamans, treats and treats a person as a whole, entering his unconscious.

Shamans are a natural phenomenon. Everyone studied this issue for a very long time, but there is still no answer and will not be soon. My mentor, shaman Savvey, three years before his death, told me that man did not descend from a monkey, but he was cloned by aliens from Space. Believe it or not"

Alekseev, like many scholars who study shamans, believe that the approach in which shamanism is viewed as a backward phenomenon is incorrect. Perhaps this is the future of mankind, because shamanism is not only a belief in the supernatural, it is a special form of worldview, which contains a lot of what is rational in relation to nature, animals, the world, and people.
