The owner of a unique artifact, a resident of Kazakhstan turned to the media with a request to help her preserve a unique cultural monument of the Golden Horde era - a standard with the image of a two-headed eagle (dragon?), Which she inherited. The fact is that this ancient artifact needs a special, museum storage regime and can simply crumble if it is not urgently started to be restored.

Anargul Amirova - and the Kazakh media wrote about this - trying to save the standard, wanted to present it to the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, but her request remained unanswered.

Three years ago, it seemed that Ms. Amirova still managed to attach this dilapidated relic to the Museum of Peace and Reconciliation in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, but it turned out that there were no conditions for storing it there, and she had to take it back.

According to her, foreign collectors offer hundreds of thousands of dollars for this artifact, but she refused, citing the fact that the historical heritage should remain in the homeland:

“I am a patriot of my country, this standard should be in Kazakhstan. I want the president to familiarize himself with it, for sure he will give an order to transfer the artifact either to the National Museum or to the International Turkic Academy in Astana. Ms. Amirova has documentary evidence from the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences about the authenticity of the Horde standard.

Here's what she wrote:

“The fact is that I have a flag (standard) of the Golden Horde, a sword and golden belt plaques in the form of eagles. All the artifacts were handed over to the museum in Astana, but after 8 months no one took care of them (the flag and textiles), although I pointed out that an early restoration was required. She was forced to return the flag and clothing of the Golden Horde warrior. It has been two years since I have been trying to save the legacy, which is also related to the history of Russia. This is the only flag of the Golden Horde in the whole world, miraculously preserved …"

In return, Ms. Amirova dreams of receiving financial assistance for the construction of a rehabilitation center for children with cerebral palsy in her native Uralsk.
