None of Darwin's followers could clearly explain why nature needed to divide the higher animals into two sexes. It is much more profitable to be hermaphrodites, like worms! But not so long ago, a beautiful and convincing solution was finally found.

The scientist Vigen Geodakian solved the problem of the appearance of sexes simply and elegantly. According to his theory of the evolution of sex (for which Vigen Artavazdovich received his doctorate), a woman is assigned the role of the keeper of the genotype, but the man's business is to enrich the human race with new useful qualities.
For every 100 girls born, there are 106-108 boys. This alone is a mystery, because according to the laws of genetics, boys and girls should be equally divided among newborns. At first, the researchers suggested that girls simply did not live to see birth. But, having studied the sex of the miscarriages and abortion material, instead of the eight girls we were looking for, they found another 92 “extra” boys. The impression was that nature treats the female sex more carefully, and uses the male as a bargaining chip. Geodakyan built his theory on this.
For all her weakness and fragility, a woman is more resilient than a man. She tolerates hunger and temperature fluctuations more easily, her immune system works better than men (see "Compare!"). Her whole being is aimed at the most important task - to survive and leave offspring. The man's task is different: he must, actively interacting with the environment, find ways to adapt and "teach" them to the woman. Life expectancy and endurance are not so important here. After all, one male can fertilize a hundred females, but this will be the only one who could survive in these natural conditions.

If men are an experimental consumable, then more of them should be born than women. And the difference in the number of girls and boys born should be the greater, the more unfavorable the natural and social environment. In calm times, it should be minimal, and in times of crises, wars and other stresses, "spending" boys need more.
But how does nature know that there are fewer men? Very simple: according to the intensity of a man's sex life. The sex of the unborn child determines which of the sperm produced in his body, male or female, will fertilize the egg faster. In times of war, when the number of males falls and there are several females for each adult male, this intensity increases. The body of the gentlemen feels a distortion and begins to fight it, giving out an excess of male spermatozoa. Conversely, if the female population has decreased, male sexual activity decreases and the body in response begins to produce female sperm.
As a result, for example, in the harems of modern sheikhs, boys are born 1.5 times more often than girls. And in families of seafarers of long-distance voyages, this ratio is reversed. All this fully fits into the framework of Professor Geodakyan's theory.
Conclusion: if you want to conceive a boy, create the appearance of a "male deficit" for the body. A man has to exhaust himself with hard work, not getting enough sleep, having sex more often (yes, despite lack of sleep and hard work), and the chances of having a son will increase. If you want a girl, do the opposite.

The theory of gender evolution is supported by such conclusions.
Men are more different from each other than women. In the school class and student group, the main excellent student and the main poor student, the tallest and smallest are always boys. Girls are located closer to the "center". Studying identical twins, scientists have found much more similarities among girls than among boys.
Men have a large number of new qualities, while women often show archaic signs. One of our distant great-great-great-ancestors - a slug-like lancelet - had 200 pairs of buds. In the course of evolution, their number decreased and reached (in our country) one pair. From time to time, babies are born with a non-standard number of kidneys. Girls usually have a surplus of these organs - three or four, while boys are more often born with one kidney. Consequently, boys are moving forward, while girls are in the past.
Males are more prone to bad habits, but women suffer more from them. There are three times more alcoholics among men than among women, but women who are alcoholics die three times more often than men from cirrhosis of the liver. The stronger sex has already developed ways to resist this ailment, but has not yet managed to transfer them to women.
Men are more susceptible to new diseases, and women are more likely to show old diseases. The initial ratio of AIDS patients was 15: 1 "in favor" of men, but congenital dislocation of the hip, which allowed our ancestors to climb trees easily, occurs in girls six times more often than in boys.

For example, a predisposition to adultery! The fact is that women who are inclined to hike to the left are more beneficial to nature than faithful wives. The latter, having met a stranger, even with the most magnificent genotype (read: handsome and hero), will only bite their lips and pass by. The first ones may well produce offspring from him.
