A resident of the Canadian town of Port Greville, located in the province of Nova Scotia, filmed flashes of lightning during a thunderstorm and caught a disc-shaped UFO. The event took place on August 6, 2016, but it took an eyewitness more than six months to find an organization that would take his message seriously and show interest in the unique footage.
In his report to the World UFO Network (MUFON), a local resident said that during a powerful thunderstorm that raged that day at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, he went to the veranda of a beach cottage, where he was relaxing with his friends, and began to shoot the storm.
"I was hoping to get good footage of lightning striking right into the water," wrote an eyewitness in his report, who never captured anything extraordinary apart from a very close double flash of lightning and a loud clap of thunder.
The vacationer put the camera aside, got carried away with dinner with friends and no longer thought about the thunderstorm that passed over their heads. A few days later, he decided to post pictures of the thunderstorm on Facebook and began taking screenshots of his video. And the moment he paused during one of the lightning flashes, he noticed something unusual.
“When I got to the first seconds of a flash of double lightning and a thunderclap that looked like an echo in a wind tunnel, I saw a disc-shaped object flying at an angle. He flew at unimaginable speed from lightning across the sky and disappeared into the clouds,”said a local resident.
The eyewitness added that the object was visible on the video for only one second, but, working as a neurosurgeon, he was able to take several screenshots with his sensitive fingers in that second.
This incident is being investigated by MUFON Canadian Investigator David Delaney.
