Who does not know the story of Noah and his wooden ark, on board which was his family and “each creature had a feather”? After all, this story has repeated itself over and over in many volumes, including the Old Testament, the Koran, the Ethiopian Orthodox Book of Jubilees, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the Epic Gilgamesh. And yet … the Turkish scholar claims that all this is wrong. He believes that Noah built his ark from steel plates, supplied it with nuclear power, sent a drone to search for land, communicated with his son on a mobile phone and was able to save all kinds of the world, because he filled the ark not with pairs of animals, but with semen samples and eggs. Indeed!

Yavuz Ornek, a lecturer in the Faculty of Marine Sciences at Istanbul University, made these daring "scientific" revelations in a recent speech on the Turkish channel TRT, which was translated by the Hurriyet Daily News. He based his alternative story on the fact that the waves were too massive and the distances too far to allow a simple tree and pigeons to function successfully, according to vnauke.in.ua

“There were huge waves ranging from 300 to 400 meters high, and his son [the prophet Noah] was several kilometers away. The Koran says that Noah spoke to his son. But how did they manage to communicate? Was it a miracle? Maybe. But we believe that he communicated with his son using a mobile phone.

If you believe that people living from 5,000 to 7,000 years ago - the time when many archaeologists suggest that there was a historical flood and inspired various stories about Noah, there were modern technologies such as mobile phones (and towers) for communication over long distances … Other advanced (and less advanced) technologies, such as nuclear power, drones, and steel, allowed Noah to build a ship and sail through 40-meter waves and survey the area while violent high winds kept birds from flying.

But in vitro fertilization? This will undoubtedly allow Noah to build a much smaller ark filled with Petri dishes and glasses stored in nuclear-powered coolers … right? Ornek is a "scientist" who speaks "for science", not religion, so he seeks scientific solutions to problems 7000 years ago, and since wood, nails, pigeons and animal pairs do not solve the problem, he solves it with the fact that he knows best - modern technologies.

But … how did Noah get this modern technology? Unsurprisingly, Ornek doesn't answer this question. However, if we accept even some of the ancient theories about astronauts and aliens, then it can be assumed that the same beings who helped build the pyramids could also help in building the ark and saving life on Earth? Surely if they had that kind of knowledge and power, the best choice would be to end the flood?

Professor Ornek plans to soon join one of the expeditions to find the ark on Mount Ararat.
