Then, on charges of witchcraft, 200 people were brutally executed (stoned, hanged). “Witches” were then buried outside the graveyards, laying the graves with stones to prevent their resurrection, face down, without a coffin. Although all the victims of the 17th century were later acquitted, and the lawsuit was declared illegal, interest in the event continues. And the fact that the "witches" themselves do not rest in the Salem cemetery does not stop tourists from all over the world from coming to Salem every year.

Legends of vampires and blood-drinking creatures lived in the traditions of people on a par with tales of witches. It was believed that to bury such creatures, you must first tear off your head, put a stone or piece of iron on your neck, insert an aspen stake into your heart in order to protect you from returning to the world of the living. Therefore, it is not at all surprising that in the capital of Great Britain there is a cemetery that is considered a vampire. Empty graves are often found here, the gravestones are marked with a letter, and the bodies once exhumed had a completely unsightly strange appearance.

The French world-famous cemetery is considered not only the last refuge of famous writers and artists, but also vampires. The gravestones of Père Lachaise are connected in one way or another with the theme of vampires6 skulls, strange inscriptions, bats.
There are entire catacombs under Paris, covered with human bones and skulls. According to rough estimates, the remains of 6 million people are buried here.
Three very similar almost cemeteries are burial in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic; The Dos Ossos Chapel in Portugal and the Capuchin Crypt in Rome, Italy. All three chapels are owned by Catholics. Skulls and bones, which are even difficult to count, play the role of interior decorations, and pieces of furniture are made of them. Feelings are absolutely creepy in such places, and on the other hand, the calm attitude towards human ashes is striking.

Such remains were dug up, transferred to another place, but they no longer lived in the house. Such movements are interpreted as anxiety of the dead, buried not according to the rules. However, there is also a scientific hypothesis based on the movement of soil layers. As well as the "revived" coffins of the Chase family crypt in Barbados, which are constantly found scattered around the crypt. The explanation was given by the scientist E. Russell, as the reason for putting forward the geomagnetic field of the earth and its effect on metal objects.
