A girl from Siberia, blind from birth, began to distinguish objects after she was treated by a dolphin that swam in the Black Sea
Doctors of the International Institute of Dolphin Therapy, having learned about the girl's successes, called them phenomenal.
They met this summer in Evpatoria - nine-year-old Yana from Kemerovo and a wise beautiful dolphin named … Yan. Here is such a pleasant coincidence: the namesake turned out to be an unusual doctor and his patient. Yana and Yang became friends already at the first session of dolphin therapy.
When the dolphinarium coach lowered the girl into the water, Yang swam up to her at the same moment. Yana was not scared at all. On the contrary, with each touch of the dolphin, the pain that tormented the girl so died away. Especially the headache. The dolphin "examined" Yana's head. Centimeter by centimeter. And he calmed down when he groped for the place that, as the girl says, was breaking her head. And after the session, the dolphin also … sang.
Yana's mom and dad, having gone through many doctors and clinics throughout the country for many years of struggling with her daughter's hopeless diagnoses (blindness, cerebral palsy and inability to walk), heard about dolphin doctors who work miracles. And - they took their daughter to them.
- Fate itself brought us to a dolphin named Yan! Oh, if you saw this first meeting! Yana and Yan embraced like family - the eyes of 46-year-old Kemerovo resident Alla Mazurok, Yana's mother, shine. I begged my daughter from heaven …
The family of a trucker and a salesman waited for the birth of an only child for many years.
Alla has a bad heart, and doctors forbade her to have children.
But she dreamed of a daughter.
And when the long-awaited news came that there would be a begged baby, life in the country changed, and it became quite scary to lose my job, where a small salary was paid regularly. And the pregnant 36-year-old Alla (confesses) was forced to continue pulling heavy crates of groceries in the store where she worked. - After another shift and pushing boxes, I felt bad, I came home, contractions began, and by nightfall, already in the hospital, my daughter was born. She was 30 weeks old, she weighed only 1650 grams, - recalls Alla.

… Mom woke up first. Then - there were long days of struggle for Yana's life.
“My daughter was so tiny … We tied her socks, by doll standards, with a foot length of 2 centimeters,” Alla says. - I was so afraid that my daughter would not get out. In the hospital I was only allowed small visits with her. I remember the gray sky outside the window, it is snowing, everything is gloomy and hopeless. But my daughter is breathing and sleeping in the incubator! She then had completely golden hair. And her angelic face in a golden glow gave me hope that everything would be fine.
Dolphin and mermaid
Mom and Yana were discharged from the hospital. Then came a happy life, with sleepless nights, gagging, swimming and walking.
But by 6 months, the mother's heart exploded with a terrible premonition and then with the confidence that Yana did not see:
- I finally realized that my daughter does not see me or toys. And at the age of one, the doctors told us that Yana also had infantile cerebral palsy, and she would neither stand nor walk … I was offered to abandon her sick daughter, but I could not betray her.
… For 9 years of fighting diseases, the grown-up Yana, having gained weight of 90 kg, was considered by doctors to be completely incurable. But Yana with mom and dad continued to believe and wait.
And - the first miracle happened. Arriving at the sea, "mermaid" Yana, uncertainly sinking into the water and taking the dolphin Yan by the fins, smiled and froze with him in the blue water in a fantastic, fraternal embrace. As if they are old friends, as if they knew each other well in past lives and meeting them is a regularity.

- The dolphin found the right point and took off the headache, which constantly tormented Yana for years, - mom is surprised. - On the third day, after meeting and playing with a dolphin friend, Yana took two steps herself!
Reflecting on the friendship of the daughter with the dolphin, on their chatter - grumbling and whistling, my mother confesses with a smile:
- Yang and Yana turned out to be kindred spirits. And they even outwardly are somewhat similar …
… Saying goodbye to the dolphin, going back to Kuzbass from Evpatoria, Yana begged to give her the dolphin and promised to settle him at home, in the bathroom.
Jan felt sad before parting.
Yana cried, said that the dolphin would die of melancholy.
The girl and the dolphin calmed down only when they heard the firm promise of doctors and relatives that Yana would come again in July.
Phenomenon
Several months passed. And the hopeless diagnoses, which the dolphin began to fight with, gave way to a new miracle. Israeli doctors, having studied Yana's medical history, invite her now for an operation and promise to put Yana on her feet.
And also - a blind girl, who for many years distinguished only light from darkness, began to call her parents road signs and examine and name pictures correctly.
Putting the doll aside, Yana proudly shakes out a bunch of photographs from the family album. And with passion, bringing each photo to his eyes, he lists:
- Here I am with my mother, we are sitting on a blue bench.
- And this is me, little, I was three then. And I, I remember, even then prayed: "Lord, help me so that my legs walk, so that my eyes can see!"
