The 35-year-old construction worker Odair Berti lives in the Brazilian city of Colatina. This is the state of Espirito Santo on the Atlantic coast of the country. He is divorced from his wife Odair, so his mother takes care of him. When he has free time, he doesn't have much to do. So he decided to visit his brother in Corregu Bananalzinho - an agricultural area of the same state near the city of Rio Bananal.
Odair got there at noon. According to relatives, the guest went to bed early, saying that he was too tired. But he did not burden his brother and his family with his presence - he went to spend the night in a shed, where beans and some other supplies are usually kept. There are, of course, no conveniences, but you don't bother anyone, and no one is you.
Woke up in the middle of the night. And he cannot understand - where did he end up? Around - only stones, stones, stones. When light dawn, Odair saw that he was standing on a steep ledge of an almost inaccessible rock! He began desperately calling for help, shouting and waving his shirt. But there was no one around. Several hours passed before he was finally noticed.
RESCUE OPERATION
Whoever noticed, reported first of all to the police. There, as usual, it took a long time to decide what to do, asked the authorities, agreed. Only about 2 pm the firemen were called. They came to the place of emergency, saw a man on a rock, but did not immediately figure out how to save him. When they realized the seriousness of the situation, it was already getting dark, and they thought it would be nice to use a helicopter. But since this is unrealistic at night, the firefighters decided to climb the cliff themselves. They called the locals. Together with them we walked around the foot for more than an hour, choosing the most suitable point for the ascent. Finally found. We appreciated the details of the dangerous rescue operation: the rock is steep, here you can't do without special equipment. It took more than 200 meters of cable and much more. Going down to the foot,two firefighters lost their course in the dark and got out of the situation only with the help of local residents. It may not be a feat to climb a hundred meters, but it is very difficult to climb such a stone wall - this is confirmed by firefighters.
If it took firefighters about an hour to climb a cliff with proper equipment, then one can only guess how long it would have taken a man wearing sandals. And he must be physically prepared! But even with excellent preparation, even if in a dream, how could he climb an almost sheer stone without receiving a single abrasion, not a single scratch? And this is exactly what the firefighters say. The rescued man was examined by a doctor - not the slightest injury! We also note that at the foot of the cliff there are dense thickets of bushes and tall grass. How did he wade through them without cutting his arms, legs, body? Most importantly, how did he do it all in the darkness of the night?
But the fact is the fact: somehow he still made it this way. Either he got up himself, or he was … raised.
