Village without doors - Maharashtra
Shani Shingnapur, a popular pilgrimage site in Ahmednagar. If you are looking for places to visit in India that are contrary to all the norms you have ever encountered in your life, then this is the place.
Secret. Neither houses nor commercial establishments in the village have doors at all. The place is so safe and crime-free that the Bank also opened a doorless branch in this village, the first of its kind in India.
Theory: Shani Shinagapur is said to have been blessed by the god Shani and as a result, no crime occurs here. This is some kind of strong play of faith!

Jatinga Village - Assam
This is one of the haunted places and sight that I really don't want to come across. The pretty village of Jatinga in Assam in the northeastern part of the country is the place for some truly exhilarating attractions. Supernatural or mysterious events always cause tremendous excitement. But sometimes there are those who are not so exciting and more likely fill with sadness and despair.
Secret. Jatinga village witnesses a heavy slaughter of various species of birds falling mercilessly from the sky. An event that takes place for many decades, every year after the monsoon (around October). In the late foggy evening hours (from 18:00 to 21:00), the birds simply fall dead, flying towards the village. This is considered a serious bird suicide act that hardly makes any sense.
Theory. Many researchers and animal welfare authorities have tried to uncover the secret of this place. People call it the killing of the villagers of Jatinga, not suicide. But for decades no reason has been found for this.
Skeleton Lake Roopkund - Uttarakhand
The mountains are an eerie place of the best mysteries, aren't they? Lake Roopkund is a magnificent and famous glacier in the Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 5029 meters. It is one of the most famous hiking destinations in India, but the frozen Roopkund Lake has some deadly secrets.
Secret. In 1942, the British Forest Service first discovered a huge number of skulls and bones that suddenly appeared out of nowhere as the snow began to melt. Some of the hair and flesh were preserved under the ice. Bones belong to over 600 human bodies since the beginning of 850 BC. e., which still continue to appear out of nowhere.
Theory. Locals say that these people were cursed to death due to the rage of the local deity, Latu, who sent a terrible hail on their way. Heavy hail with ice floes up to 23 centimeters fell on these people and ultimately killed them. In addition, cracks in the skulls indicate and confirm that the impact was inflicted by something spherical.
