As it became known to the Tula Novosti news agency, in the evening of August 17, an underage child was injured in the explosion of ball lightning in the village of Nepryadva, Volovsky District, Tula Region.
“At about 20:00, in one of the houses on the street. Ball lightning exploded with a new one. At the time of the incident, grandmother, grandfather and their 10-year-old grandson were in the apartment.
When examining the child, doctors diagnosed the minor with signs of mild concussion, as well as hearing impairment and electric shock. Hospitalization was not required, - said a source in the law enforcement agencies of the region.
According to available information, the child came from the capital on vacation to his grandmother. The parents of the minor decided that in Moscow they would provide him with more qualified medical care and, therefore, in the near future they would take him to the capital.
In the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies, the incident is currently classified as a fire.
“The fire brigade PSCh-91 immediately left for the scene. Upon arrival at the scene, at 20:04, the fire was extinguished by the owners of the house. There are no casualties. As a result of the accident, the wiring melted in the kitchen, the wallpaper and the ceiling were burnt on an area of 1 sq. m. , - said the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia in the Tula region.
To eliminate the consequences of the accident, the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia involved 2 people and 1 piece of equipment. The cause of the fire is being established.
