If we talk about ash, then its particles can depend on the material,which has melted or turned to ash. Those who are interested in volcanoes can recall the eruption on an island in the Pacific Ocean, when ash particles, like an abrasive, destroyed the heavy-duty blades of jet engines of passenger aircraft and covered the skin of aircraft. The danger of a repetition of the same effect, during the eruption in Iceland, all aircraft were prohibited from leaving airports or flying near the ash cloud. But then, unable to bear the losses from such volcanic "sabotage", they raised a jet plane and flew near the cloud, then through the cloud and nothing terrible happened to the plane. Flights were allowed. You can also remember the eruption of the Krakatoa island volcano. Now scientists are studying two types of rock emissions: one dark and dense, the other porous gray in the form of pumice. If you remember, the Krakatoa exploded,leaving a huge funnel instead of a mountain, instead of a high mountain, with access to the waters of the ocean. Scientists have their own opinion on the "eruption" of the mountain, and I have already expressed my opinion that the lava, in this case, in contrast to the past eruptions that created the island and then the mountain-volcano, went away from the vertical, and came into contact with water Indian Ocean. At high temperatures, water first turns into steam, then splits into oxygen and hydrogen. Hydrogen is the highest-octane fuel, oxygen is an oxidizer, which, at a particularly high concentration, can burn even the elements of a railway bridge, as happened once during an accidental release of a large amount of oxygen into the atmosphere and a railway bridge located near the oxygen production plant burned down. Every eruption is accompanied by lightning in a cloud of ash. And the very temperature of the lava could easily set fire to this explosive mixture preserved under the mountain,and under great pressure. It was not an eruption, but an explosion that left behind a crater on half of the island. The upper parts of the mountain were thrown out in the form of black fragments, and those in contact with water vapor received the penetration of water vapor and water itself into the heated mass of the mountain, creating a pumice stone.

Several years before the eruption, an earthquake took place in the city, which left its mark on the walls and records. Sweat, we can say that the Pompeians were a people hardened and not very prone to panic from volcanic emissions. Someone decided to stay, survive the disaster and preserve their homes and property. Servants and slaves remain with them,who had families and children, now doomed to be buried in the ashes of a volcano, in order to bring to our times the appearance of people in the form of plaster casts, paintings on the walls of the city and rooms in two thousand years. But as far as I understood, there were no royal or imperial palaces, no domain, no workshop halls. It was this version that surfaced in my head while watching a movie about the excavation of the city.
Pompeii is a port city of entertainment of ancient times, and not just a city where production sites, utility shops or retail spaces, slave auctions or something else should have been present. That is why the walls of the houses were decorated with paintings and murals, swimming pools and inner gardens. Homes for rent by the wealthy for temporary living in the "Los Angeles" of ancient Rome.
It was in Pompeii that archaeologists found a nickel-plated bracelet on a cavity left of a person with the name, blood type and name of something. The investigation revealed that it was with such a bracelet on his wrist that an American Western stuntman disappeared in 1927. Everything matched: name, blood type and film title. Can you imagine the irony of fate when a man from 1927 is thrown back 1865 years to die from the ash of the eruption of Vesuvius. And only in the XXI century the place of his death became known. Just like the person watch released in Switzerland in 1966, it ended up in a Chinese tomb some century before the birth of Christ.
