“Rats are the first to flee from a sinking ship” - everyone knows this expression. However, there is no mysticism here. Many animals anticipate changes in the weather, and they feel tremors before humans. In addition to rats, cats, dogs and other animals also have these abilities. And yet, animals are able to anticipate what is impossible to predict. For example, human death, fire, car accident, and so on.
There is evidence that during the Second World War, before the attack on Stalingrad, all the rats and cats left the city. Also, during the war, cats were kept at home for protection: shortly before the air raids, they began to get nervous, which gave people time to hide in bomb shelters. From a scientific point of view, it is not yet possible to explain this anomaly. However, the fact remains that animals can prevent trouble. However, there is another important point: animals are not ready to help everyone. As a rule, they try to protect those who are dear to them. Don't expect to get help from an animal that you mistreat.

In 1976 I served in the army. I was more fortunate than other ordinary soldiers. I was a chauffeur and was engaged in bringing milk from the city to our part. Believe me, it's much more pleasant to turn the steering wheel than to hang around in a military unit and follow the stupid orders of the commanders. One day I was driving and I saw a snake lying on the side of the road. It was already big enough - at least one and a half meters. And apparently, the snake needed help. I felt so sorry for her that I decided to share my milk with her. The snake drank everything in front of me.
The next day, the snake lay in the same place. I stopped again and poured milk for her. This continued two more times. Somehow I fell in love with this creature! But for the fifth time, as soon as I was about to leave, the snake sharply wrapped itself around my arm. Only then did I notice how big and strong it was. I was seriously scared, you never know, a snake can twine around its neck and suffocate. The snake just held me and looked into my eyes, and I carefully tried to get rid of it. Five minutes later, the snake weakened, let me go and crawled into the bushes. I was simply stunned, and for another three minutes I looked at the bushes into which I had already crawled. Then I quickly got into my truck and drove to the unit.
When I arrived at the unit, I immediately noticed that something had happened. Everyone ran nervously and shouted. It turns out that one soldier, with a machine gun, flew into the kitchen and killed several people, and then fired a bullet into his own head. This happened a lot in the Soviet army. If I had arrived at the unit five minutes earlier, the first thing I would have done would have gone to the kitchen and, perhaps, I would have also been hit by a gunfire. It turns out that the snake saved my life. After that incident, I met the snake two more times, and, of course, gave it milk again.
