Until the twenties of the last century, the inhabitants of the village of Parichi, in the Minsk region of Belarus, were terrorized by two monsters very similar to crocodiles. They lived in an underwater cave of the silted lake Devil's Bork
At the appointed hour, an oppressive silence hung over the glades, weighed down by calmness and the fall of a thick, oversaturated fog. In 1897 in Parichi a group of land surveyors was dispatched to measure arable land and inconveniences, to which the son of General N. M. Osmolevich Ivan, a medical student at St. Petersburg University, joined. Aware of the lake evil, the young man wished to find out if this was a story. At the end of the 19th century, at the initiative of Moscow biologists, the drawings and photographs taken by Ivan Osmolevich were subjected to a biased examination, after which he, then working as a zemstvo doctor in Belaya Tserkov, was accused of "inappropriate joke and misleading." To which he replied: “You want quick victories, I only need the truth. I undertake to present the sought-after truth in material form. " After a much binding promise, the doctor, obsessed with the desire to catch the monster, switched to free bread, settled in the hunting house of Devil's Bork. And in 1913 he left a dubious venture, considering it "devoid of the prospects of common sense." The French natural encyclopedia about Osmolevich and the artist named after him gives the following information: “I. N. About him in one of the journal publications was told by none other than the famous researcher of the anomalous, Doctor of Technical Sciences A. I.
