Traditionally, Russia has no opportunity to simultaneously develop two directions, east and south. As soon as we have problems in the East, we are forced to crawl to the South, and vice versa. So we have created such a situation in which it is profitable to transfer production to the eastern part of the country. And it really requires development, since the level there is lower than in the West, and we all know that. And now, through contacts, primarily with China, we are trying to transfer our main industry to the north-east of the country.
Is this justified?
This is justified from an economic point of view, since we have large transport shoulders between East and West: the main raw material zones are in the East, and factories are in the West. Therefore, from the economic point of view, it is more profitable to transfer production itself to sources of resources. It used to be very difficult to do this for the simple reason that we do not have enough workforce in the East. But now the southern direction will be hacked, and everything will creep to the East by itself. New industries will start to open there, they will require new workers, jobs will appear …
