The British family was convinced that the cat actually has nine lives: their pet returned home 9 months after he was buried
Nine months ago, a resident of Greater Manchester in Britain, Angelo Petrillo, buried his four-legged pet, the ginger cat Alpha.
The cat died under the wheels of a car and the owner found him on the side of the road near his home.
Soon after, Angelo, his wife and son took their second cat, nicknamed Freddie, and moved to another city. But last week they got a phone call from their former neighbors and told them that some ginger cat was meowing under the door of their old house and trying to climb into the bedroom window - this is where Alf always climbed.
“My wife and I looked at each other, and she said: 'Are you absolutely sure you buried Alpha?' And I replied that yes, 100%,” said Petrillo.
At the same time the next day, he went to his old house and immediately recognized the red cat as Alpha. During his absence, the three-year-old cat lost his collar and got a little fat. The owners are sure that all this time someone was taking care of him.
“It was incredible - the cat that I buried nine months ago, which we mourned for a month, returned,” said Angelo. He added that his wife simply cannot believe it.
The owner himself was sure that it was Alpha who died then. Now he is glad that this is not so, but it remains a mystery what kind of cat he buried.
