The famous and mysterious scientist Nikola Tesla and the Indian philosopher of Vedanta and yoga Swami Vivekananda met in 1893 at the World Congress of Religions, which was held in Chicago. The physicist and researcher of ancient treatises immediately found a common language. Later, the Indian visited Tesla's laboratory, where he was amazed by what he saw.
The Indian philosopher wrote about Tesla: “This man is different from all Western people. He demonstrated his experiments with electricity, which he treats as a living being, with whom he speaks and to whom he gives orders."
Tesla, in turn, was surprised by the description of cosmogony in ancient Vedic treatises - it was very close to modern physics.
Vivekananda wrote: "Mr. Tesla was fascinated by the Prana, Akasha and Kalpa of Vedanta, which, in his opinion, could only be represented in modern scientific theories."
Several years later, Vivekananda wrote: “The best minds of science of today have often told me how wonderful and intelligent the judgments of Vedanta are. I personally knew one of them, who had almost no time to eat or leave his laboratory, but nevertheless listened to my lectures on Vedanta for hours, because, in his words, they were so scientific and quite consistent with the aspirations of the century and the conclusions to which modern science has come today."
Tesla, in turn, was imbued with the philosophy of Vedanta and wrote the following: “Being a completely developed being, a person with a mysterious, inexplicable and irresistible desire imitates nature, creates and reproduces its miracles, which he cognizes … A long time ago he knew that everything visible matter comes from the primary substance, or unknowable rarefaction that fills space - Akasha, the luminiferous ether, animated by Prana, creative force, manifested in the endless cycles of all things and phenomena. The primary substance, entrained in infinitesimal vortices of enormous speeds, becomes gross matter; the force weakens, the movement slows down, and the matter disappears, returning to the primary substance."
In addition, he argued that someday humanity will learn to use the unknown energy, which was mentioned in the ancient Vedic treatises … “After many generations, our mechanisms will be able to be moved by energy extracted from any point in the Universe. This idea is not new … We find it in the delightful myth of Antaeus, who draws his strength from the earth; we also meet it among the refined reasoning of one of your mathematicians … Energy is spread throughout the entire cosmos. Is it static or kinetic? If static, then our hopes are in vain, if kinetic - and we certainly know that this is so - then it is nothing more than a matter of time when people will be able to connect to the very cycle of nature."
However, soon Swami Vivekananda died and the process of communication between the genius of physics and the expert on ancient treatises, which is very important for humanity, ceased. After Tesla's death, as you know, all of his archives disappeared, and the unknown energy has not yet been found.

However, interest in the ancient heritage of India in the West did not disappear. As we wrote in the article "Scientific knowledge of the ancient Vedas", Albert Einstein specially studied Sanskrit in order to read the Vedas in the original, which described the general laws of physical nature. Many other famous people such as Kant, Hegel, Gandhi recognized the Vedas as a source of various knowledge.
It is curious that during the expedition of our site to India, we saw many Brahmins who memorize all the ancient texts of the Vedas from childhood and preserve them from generation to generation.
