Former professor at the University of Alberta (Canada) Gordon Freeman in his book goes against the prevailing opinion in the archaeological world and argues that the circular chain of stones near Calgary is not at all another Sacred hoop of the indigenous inhabitants of the American continent. According to him, the stone lace, spread over 26 sq. km, shows the change of seasons and does it with higher accuracy than the modern calendar.
“5,000 years ago, these prairies were inhabited by geniuses,” says Freeman, the former head of the Department of Physics and Theoretical Chemistry. His fascination with prehistoric prairie dwellers began as a child, when he and his father were searching for ancient artifacts in the province of Saskatchewan. This hobby never left him, and after finishing his teaching career, he decided to return to him.
The central cairn of the "Canadian Stonehenge" rises on one of the low hills, next to which the Bow River flows. In 1971, excavations were carried out here, and then scientists established the age of the building - about 5 thousand years. However, according to Freeman, this pyramid is something more than previously thought. Numerous boulders located in the area led the scientist to the idea that the pattern they formed must mean something. And although experts unanimously argued that these stones were brought here by a glacier and were located in a random manner, Freeman believed that all this was the result of engineering and the stones were located in accordance with a perfectly balanced scheme.
Since 1980, for 28 years, the scientist has been taking photographs of a mysterious place at different times of the year, trying to find patterns in the arrangement of stones and how they combine with the movement of the sun, moon and stars. More than 12 thousand photographs were cataloged and put into folders in the most careful way.
What did you find out? The central pyramid, from which 28 stone lines emanate, four of which are located in exact correspondence with the four parts of the world. This whole structure is surrounded by a ring of stones. A few meters away is a stone semicircle, which is separated from the central pyramid by a large stone. The left edge of the semicircle of stones is in line with the central stone and the right edge of the central pyramid, and vice versa. According to the scientist, this design represents the sun, the crescent and the "Morning Star" - Venus. In addition, other stone pyramids on the neighboring hills form structures that look like constellations.

Freeman claims that all these stones are not only located by human hands, but also remarkably accurately mark the course of the year. The rising and setting sun on the longest and shortest days of the year, clearly correspond to the V-shaped gaps of the stone temple. The days of the spring and autumn equinox are marked in a similar way, and they do not correspond to the existing Gregorian calendar, but correspond to more accurate astronomical indicators.
In addition, the scientist is convinced that the calendar also takes into account the lunar calendar, which makes it possible to assert the presence of 28 lines emanating from the central pyramid.
