On November 13, 2014, a resident of Kotovsk Valentina Polushkina called the editorial office of the local newspaper and said:

- We have here in the private sector, on Pervomayskaya street, what a horror! Some chickens are all torn into fluff and feathers, some rabbits are strangled. Some creature got into the habit of roaming around the yards at night. People are already afraid to leave the house!

The next day, November 14, the correspondent went to Kotovsk to communicate with the inhabitants of Pervomayskaya in person. It turned out that only in the last month several yards suffered from the tricks of an unknown beast.

“It all starts at two o'clock in the morning and continues until the morning,” said Svetlana Chernikova, a resident of house no. 57. “So this Chupacabra came to me last week. I leave the house in the morning - buckets are lying around the greenhouse, everything is overdrilled. And inside my cat Vaska lies strangled. I examined the greenhouse - priests! This evil spirits tried to undermine and gnawed the side wall - in the polycarbonate there were traces of teeth as thick as a pencil.

And then, imagine, I managed to open the latch on which the greenhouse was closed. But it is more than a meter from the ground. Looks like the beast is big. But that's what it is! He tore more than 30 chickens at the Kashirins from the 49th house. The owners went out in the morning - and instead of a bird, only feathers.

On this day, the journalist also talked with other residents of Pervomayskaya Street. The Perepelko family from the house number 59 also suffered from animals.

- It all happened at night, - said the owner of the house Svetlana. - In our yard there were cages with three rabbits. In the afternoon we look - the bars of the cages are all torn. They came closer and were stunned: one rabbit was strangled, another had his head bitten off, and there was no blood around at all, everything was clean - as if someone had drunk it. And we did not find the third eared at all - apparently, this evil spirits dragged him away. It rained that day, and all over the garden we had footprints from her paws - seven centimeters in length.

The husband even photographed them. We also had the police - they recorded everything and left. The most interesting thing is that at night we did not hear a sound. And on the same day in our yard we found a dead neighbor's cat. He, too, lay strangled.

Visited "abracadabra", as the locals called it, and into the courtyard of the house number 44b.

The owner of the estate Larisa Morozova told about what she saw with my own eyes.

- It was on the night of November 9th. I heard some noise. I go out - my chickens are all tattered. Someone has a collapsed neck, someone else has something. True, they were still alive, fluttering. In the dark, of course, it was hard to see, but I still saw that it was as if two dogs darted through my garden - one large, the other smaller.

In addition, the street adjacent to Pervomayskaya also suffered - some rabbits, some birds.

“At my neighbors from Yuzhnaya Street, at the Kobzevs, this evil spirits tore 10 chickens,” said Valentina Polushkina, a resident of house number 58. - You know, it's already scary to leave the house!

Local residents have a lot of versions that he is an uninvited guest at night in their yards. Someone seriously believes in the Chupacabra and the mutants who got to us from Chernobyl, someone blames stray dogs for everything. But all agree on one thing: the main problem is that there is no lighting on the street for many years, and darkness is the Chupacabra's best friend.

- We are even afraid to take out the garbage after five in the evening, one at a time, - Elena Novchenkova from house number 55 is indignant. - Children are scared to let out into the street. Guests do not come to us - you are scared, they say. What awaits the mayor's office - until there is any fatality? After all, there are poles on the street, you just need to eliminate the accident that happened a long time ago, connect the wires. Well, can we continue to live and be afraid?

The correspondent forwarded this question to the administration of Kotovsk. The head Alexei Plakhotnikov promised to shed light on all troublemakers and resolve the issue of lanterns on Pervomayskaya.

“The problem will be resolved within a week,” Elvira Bukhanova, press secretary of the head of the Kotovsk administration, commented on November 17. - Light on the street. May Day has not been for the last seven years. There, not only the networks are outdated, but also the power transmission supports. They may need to be changed. New lamps will be installed on the street - about 640 of them have already been received for the city. Due to the fact that they are energy efficient, the lights on the streets of Kotovsk will burn longer - until 2 am.

In addition, the Kotovsky authorities promised the residents of Pervomayskaya that in the near future a raid would be carried out on their street and stray dogs that could huddle there in an abandoned house would be caught. So the residents of Pervomayskaya should say thank you to the Chupacabra, because it is thanks to her that the light will finally appear on their street.

EDITORIAL:

We showed the footprint of an unknown animal, photographed by the Perepelko family, to the head of the Department of Biology of Tomsk State University. Derzhavin Alexander Sokolov. Here's how he commented on the shot:

- This is the footprint of a large dog, like a shepherd dog. There can be no other opinions here. But what confuses me is that the behavior you describe is not typical for a dog. Therefore, there is a feeling that it has not been done without human participation. Let me explain why I think so. The dog would first pull the rabbit out of the cage, and then gnaw off its head.

She could hardly bite it off in one fell swoop, and even in a cramped cage. It looks like the rabbit was first chopped off somewhere and then put in a cage. Therefore, there are no traces of blood. It is also strange and incomprehensible how the dog got into the yards. She is not capable of jumping over a high fence. Residents need to take a closer look for holes in the fences.
