In the scientific world, researchers refuse to study the Sahamian lines, which are a network of thousands of almost perfectly straight lines pressed into the ground. These lines do not form any shapes or forms, but they are drawn surprisingly exactly tens of kilometers. Whoever created them worked with amazing precision, which was a daunting task in this hilly area with rocks, bushes and other natural obstacles.
Researchers believe that these "radial centers" may be the sites of ancient shrines, burial places, or even cities. One theory is that the lines were used by indigenous peoples as a guide when they made sacred pilgrimages.
In total, the Saham Lines cover an area of about 22,000 square kilometers, which is about 15 times larger than the famous Nazca Lines in southern Peru. According to the most rough estimates, their total linear length may be 16,000 kilometers.
Although the plateau is located close to the more popular Nazca Plateau in Peru, very little research has focused on the Sahamian lines. The first brief reference to geoglyphs in English was made only in 1932 by Argentine professor Aime Felic Tskhiffeli.
