So, about 3 o'clock in the afternoon - we are still driving on that first day that we left the hotel in Madaba and in the morning we examined Mount Nebo. This is the first day! So at 3 pm, we left “LITL PETRA” in the direction - to PETER BOLSHOY. Here we are just driving along the local road along - parallel to the WADI ARABA depression, which used to be a continuation of the Red Sea. Most likely the “red sea” was not even called then. This is where the whitish veil in the photo is completely there - this is just the failure of WADI ARABA, and here closer - these remnants of former skyscrapers in the form of coastal melts:

Image

And after driving 10-12 kilometers along the Wadi Araba depression, we entered the small town of PETRA. PETRA is our name. In ancient times, it was called Raqmu, and the Arabs now call it somehow in Arabic, but in conversation everyone calls her PETROA, her Roman name is “STONE”. Here is PETERburg, is this the city of Petra? Tsar! So? But formally PETERburg can be translated as “STONE CITY”. PETER is “STONE” - “SOIL BODY, MASS”; linguistically it is. So, we imperceptibly drove into the town and since we asked for a cheaper motel, the driver threw us to the very top of the hill on which the small town of Petra stands. We will now show the photo taken after getting out of the car at the top of Petra.

Here on the left down - this is a ravine going down from the hill and along it this street. Down there - about a kilometer - just the entrance to Petra. Entrance - ENTRANCE - according to American standards, - Information Center, toilets, souvenir shops. There are expensive hotels around where groups and tourists with a fat wallet stay. But the city is full of inns upstairs, so we had no trouble getting our $ 35 rooms. In the photo above, from above, one can see just at first after the entrance there are melts, and then the blue shadow of the mountains behind which again the dried bay of WADI ARABA. Thus, having arrived at 4 o'clock and settled in, we went down this street to the entrance to Petra to scout out the situation:

Having found out that Petra works from sunrise to sunset, we bought tickets for today and tomorrow. It's cheaper. The ticket to Petra is very expensive. We forgot exactly how much, because you have to pay in dinars, but not less than $ 50, well, like, if you got here, then you have money. Therefore, it is more profitable to take a subscription for 2 days, such as for $ 60. You do not even dream of seeing PETER in one day! Necessarily at least one full day, having slept, from morning till night, and sleep, that is, 2 nights minimum. Otherwise, you simply cannot physically pull; route on foot 12 km and in the mountains! And since our main day in Petra was supposed to be tomorrow, we bought a subscription for 2 days and entered the territory. Having fought off the sellers of souvenirs, we went out onto the gravel path leading to the main crevasse. Here it is, we marked with an arrow. Have you seen any fusion? - Horror!

From the entrance to the crevice of the floats of the order of a kilometer, and cab drivers begin to pester you, asking for wild money. Well, judge for yourself, cab drivers for two kilometer hauls require 40 dinars - that's 50 dollars! Well, we decided that, okay, it's already six o'clock in the evening; all the same, he won't have time to inspect anything, let's take a ride in a droshky - we'll see in a quick way what is here and how. They agreed on 25 dinars - 33 dollars. Their mother to grind them - these droshky! For 2 kilometers there and 2 km back on gravel and cobblestones - droshky shook our whole soul out of us. But the next day, droshky drivers and donkey and camel drivers were lying at our feet, begging for a ride, but we already ignored them and walked all 12 kilometers back and forth the entire route on foot. But walking, we saw everything, stopped, took photos, rested, felt everything, examined and walked the next day all day for 8 hours - the entire 12 km route. And now, in the evening, because of these paths we saw nothing and only shook. And these cabbies - they need to earn money! You sat down in his droshky - he is at a gallop, and your only task is to grab onto so as not to fall out. Soul out of you! We are warning! Don't mess with these animal drivers here! Money down the drain! And you won't see anything.

So the next day we arrived at 8 o'clock in the morning; they presented tickets and went along the main path, which was double, both gravel, only one was also covered with sand from above - this is for droshky; and the other is gravel for people. Here's for the horses. You already see the fusion:

Image

Here's for tourists. And here there are already obvious melts and stone carving:

Image
Image

These are regular, slightly melted-deformed granite blocks right along the road:

Image
Image

And right next to it - a slide of red granite, and right there on the cut, a slide of white marble! Well, this does not happen in nature! - Granite and then Marble! They consist of different substances, it is necessary that someone sensible does one thing next to it and then another. Nature creates uniformity! This is the 3rd law of thermodynamics - Creates Entropy - Chaos! And order is created only by MIND! Well, for example, the Sun looks like a natural body, because it is uniformly fiery. The ocean can look like homogeneity, and therefore be kind of natural. But when there are 2 mountains next to each other - one is granite and the other is marble - it is necessary for someone to figure them out! And it is not known whether these were “mountains” before, maybe buildings! Look - directly opposite the regular Granite Megaliths - a pile of molten white marble!

Image
Image

But look on the slope of the melt in the form of such stone "MUSHROOMS" with hats; there are a lot of these in Turkish Cappadocia. Here in Petra:

Image
Image

And this is Turkish CAPPADOCIA:

Image
Image

The entrance, by the way, is made of individual solid stones of individual computer processing of the highest precision in "3D" dimension! And above there are already melts. So this entrance may have been BEFORE the fusion!

Well, this is the usual POST thermonuclear stone carving of a memorial nature with Obelisks:

Image
Image

- Obelisks! Well, beaten! There was such a thing! If we built, they would crumble themselves in 100 years. And then 2000 years!

Image
Image

Obelisks are in our civilization from a previous or upper civilization. Pure Alien symbol!

In short, we are approaching the entrance to the oplav cleft and it's time to show a map of the entire route. This is not Russia, where you can walk on all 4 sides across the field, here is a rocky crevice 200 meters deep! Well here's a route map. We've broken it down into 5 landmarks:

Image
Image

V is the visitor center - ENTRANCE to the reserve. From it, here is the path along which we have just passed - about a kilometer to the entrance to the crevasse.

R - This is the entrance to the cleft. In a rocky crevasse, we walk along a stone path for exactly 1200 meters. This is before the first FACADE with COLUMNS! This is the Facade - world famous, it is on all calendars:

Image
Image

we will consider it in more detail.

F1 - This is the first facade with columns. Then there will be a little more crevasse, and then the space will expand, the cliffs will move apart and there will be even more rock carvings! So it will be 3 kilometers, and we will come back to a high ridge of stone melts, where there is a recreation area, with toilets, a restaurant under the trees, a babbling stream, well, in general, an oasis! We marked this on the map with the letter “P”. In general, HOLIDAY, here you can relax, drink, have a snack, before the most difficult part of the path, as well as on the way back.

P - BALANCE. Oasis.

And after the oasis there will be an ascent to the ridge. There we will walk along a stone path, sometimes with steps, sometimes just a path; they say 800 steps. How many kilometers? It's hard to say, the way is because up! There is just the second FACADE with COLUMNS! It's even bigger than the first! - First advice! - 3 bags of orange or apple juice - or even just 4 liters of water - will help you out! Everything that is sold in the reserve is 3 times more expensive than in the city. The Arabs are dragging all the food and water here on their humps!

F-2 - The second facade with columns is the end of the route. There, beyond the stone ridge of the melts of the former ancient city, there will be a dry depression of the WADI ARABA desert. Total - from ENTRANCE to the reserve - to Facade2 - 6 km, well and back the same! Total 12 km. We walked with stops from 8 to 4 in the afternoon.

There, in the reserve, you can order an even more difficult route, but this is still for an additional fee because with a guide; otherwise they will not take responsibility! This route was enough for us.

Reader's letter:

Hello! I regularly read your site with interest. Your last expedition has some very excellent illustrations for your story.

There is also an excellent satellite map and an opportunity to view archaeological sites in detail, and there are 12 high-quality panoramic photos. Yours faithfully! - Thank you very much for the link. And we ourselves will give a 4K video on Petra in high resolution, someone shot there:

But with us you will walk, and we will point your finger at you! So today we are looking at a 1.2 km rocky crevasse to the first FACADE with COLUMNS! - Let's go! This crevice is in red granite. The locals call it GRANITE. The depth of the crevice is 200 meters. That is, what was above the crevasse is approximately the same height, that is, what was ABOVE the crevasse, was destroyed uniformly. Well, that is, this area was, as it were, "trimmed" with one brush. What forms this cleft, these red “rocks” are strongly deformed and melted, red, granite megaliths of various sizes. The main "cornerstone" megaliths weigh tens and hundreds of thousands of tons! They were the foundation of the OVER-buildings that stood here, which were destroyed in all respects - over temperature. Although the impact component also took place. We will see it all now. The cleft varies in width. Sometimes it is rather narrow. In this photo, pay attention, where the tourist's head is - there converge the ideal vertical and horizontal seam between the megaliths!

Image
Image

And sometimes the cleft becomes wider; usually this is where there are more side EMISSIONS, that is, where there was more melt. As here. But notice that the lower seam between the megaliths is clearly preserved. And above, in some places, the seams between the megaliths also survived:

Image
Image

Here you can see clearly - where the SUPER-temperature was high, there the stone "BLOOD" bulge out. And where the SUPER temperature was lower, the ideal straightness of the vertical surface remains! Take a look here at the vertical seam between the megaliths - the upper section on both megaliths has retained its evenness. But it is scorched and blackish in color - it's soot!

Image
Image

But the temperature in this place of the crevice was not enough for a molten stone bulge to appear. Take a look, we have zoomed in with the lens one of such flat vertical sections, which has preserved its evenness. You can even see black carbon deposits in places, and below the wall flowed:

Image
Image

Here is another flat place with black carbon deposits, except for those places where it collapsed:

Image
Image

And where the surface layer collapsed there like that. There is still a vertical seam partially left:

Image
Image

Otherwise, in general, the surface collapses - it melts!

Image
Image
Image
Image

Here the whole outer piece melted, but the seams, although shifted, can be traced:

Image
Image

There is also a powerful melt here, but the seams, although displaced and deformed, are quite sometimes traced:

Image
Image

Here, on the right side, the entire wall has swum, nevertheless, the seams are guessed in places:

Image
Image

Let's take another look at this photo:

Image
Image

Because we took a picture of this seam between the megaliths point-blank. There was even a discrepancy, in a scientific way - DIASTAZ between megaliths.

Image
Image

This is the same angle, but from the other side. But the bottom seam, which is one meter from the ground to the left, is clearly preserved!

Image
Image

Look, this lower seam, which is about a meter above the ground, is clearly preserved along all 1.2 km of the crevice on both sides. Although, you see, from the left edge, the vertical seam is skewed!

Image
Image

In some places, the horizontal seam was recessed, of course much later, after the fusion, in a water trough in which there is still water. This gutter, most likely, has already been hollowed out by hand! Much later, already in our era! This is already slaves and hard labor! In this photo - this is a groove seam - clearly and neatly goes to the left! And the vertical seam is so clear!

Image
Image

Here, in another place, there is also a lower horizontal seam-groove and a vertical seam between the Megaliths:
