RT has unveiled SPACEWALK 360, the first ever panoramic video shot in open space. The 360-degree video shows how Russian cosmonauts Sergei Ryazansky and Fyodor Yurchikhin manually launch several mini-satellites while working outside the ISS. SPACEWALK 360 is a continuation of the Cosmos 360 special project, created by RT in collaboration with Roscosmos and RSC Energia.

“Thanks to the revolutionary project SPACEWALK 360, viewers for the first time were able to see open space and our planet through the eyes of astronauts. At the intersection of VR technology and science, a new documentary genre was born. Now millions of people have the opportunity to approach space like never before. We invite everyone to open space,”said RT360 project manager Eduard Chizhikov.

SPACEWALK 360 allows viewers, together with cosmonauts Sergei Ryazansky and Fyodor Yurchikhin, to leave the ISS and "take a walk" in open space. The first ever RT video in 360 from open space demonstrates unique panoramic footage of the ISS, Earth and astronauts while working outside the station.

During the presentation of SPACEWALK 360, a direct line from the ISS took place, during which Russian cosmonaut Sergei Ryazansky spoke about the filming process. The event was also attended by the protagonist of the special project "Cosmos 360", pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Andrei Borisenko, Deputy Head of the Flight and Space Center, Head of the Flight Test Department Mark Serov and Executive Director of the Roscosmos State Corporation for Manned Space Programs, Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of Russia Sergei Krikalev.
