The exit of the soul from the body

Psychologist and physician Raymond Moody (USA), conducted interesting research in the field of human soul research. He interviewed many people who had experienced clinical death, and noted a curious pattern in their stories.

Many of those interviewed reported that they did not stop observing what was happening after doctors pronounced them dead, while citing quite convincing evidence, talking about what happened both in the operating room and outside it. The respondents also invariably note that the "spiritual body" is weightless. In the descriptions of many there is a "feeling of flight", "a feeling of weightlessness", "a feeling as if you are floating."

“… It looked as if I actually left my body and entered into something else. I don't think it was just nothing. It was a different body … but not a real human body. It was somewhat different. It did not correspond exactly to the human body, and it was not a shapeless mass. It looked like a body in shape, but it was colorless. And I also remember that I had what could be called hands. I cannot describe it exactly. I was most interested in what surrounds me - the view of my physical body and everything around me, so I especially did not think about what new body I was in …"

“During my flight, I saw other nurses rushing into the room - there were probably a dozen of them already. My attending physician, just then, was making a round and they started calling him, and I saw him also enter. I thought, "I'm curious what he's doing here." Moving behind the illuminator, I saw it from the side and quite clearly, and there, hovering under the ceiling, I stopped and looked down. It felt like I was a piece of paper that flew up to the ceiling from someone's breath. I watched the doctors try to bring me back to life. My body was on the bed just in front of my eyes, and everyone was around it. I heard one of the nurses scream, “Oh my God! She died! ", Meanwhile another bent over me and began to give me artificial respiration …"

Many patients gave descriptions of extremely pleasant sensations during the initial phase of dying, which, in their words, can be defined as feelings of peace and quiet.

In a number of cases, there are references to unusual, sometimes extremely unpleasant auditory sensations, which are generally characterized as noise. “A very unpleasant buzzing sound that came from my head. He irritated me greatly … I can never forget this noise."

“I was driving a friend in my car. Approaching an intersection in the city center, I slowed down and looked in both directions, but did not notice anything. I began to cross the intersection and, at that time, I heard my comrade shout shrilly. I looked up and saw the blinding light of the car headlights rushing towards us. I heard this terrible sound and the grinding of a broken machine, then there was a moment when, as it seemed to me, I was rushing through a dark enclosed space. Everything happened very quickly.

Then, I was hovering about five feet above the street and about five yards away from the car. I would say that I heard the sound of the grinding fade away in the distance. I saw how people ran and crowded near the car and how they pulled my friend out of it, apparently in a state of shock. I saw my body among the twisted iron, which was surrounded by people, and how they tried to pull me out. My legs were all twisted and there was blood everywhere."

Often, along with the appearance of noise, there is a feeling of very rapid movement through a certain dark space, which many of the respondents called a dark tunnel.

One of the curious features of such messages is that the dying, after passing through the dark tunnel, find themselves looking at their body from the side, that is, they are outside the physical body. In addition, patients realize that they are invisible to others and they do not hear them. Their "spiritual body" has no density, it seems that the physical objects around them easily pass through the bodies.

“People from all sides walked to the place of the car accident. I could not see them, I was in the center of a very narrow passage. But when they walked, they didn’t seem to notice me. They walked looking straight ahead. When they got very close, I tried to dodge to make way for them, but they just passed through me."

Another curious observation is their meeting with other "ghosts". “Some of the patients told me that while they were dying,” wrote Dr. R. Moody, “sometimes it happened at the very beginning, sometimes after other events associated with dying, they were aware of the close presence of other spiritual beings. These creatures were probably present next to them to help the dying person in the transition to a new state, and in two cases the purpose of finding them there was to tell the dying that the time of their death had not yet come and that they needed to return to their physical body.

In the end, the most incredible thing is a meeting with a luminous being.

“Despite the extraordinary nature of this vision, no patient doubted that it was a luminous creature. This creature had a personality. The love and warmth emanating from this creature to the dying person cannot be described in any words. The dying feel that this light surrounds and attracts them, they feel complete relief and warmth next to this creature. They feel an ineffable attraction to this light and are inexplicably attracted to it.

Curiously, while the above description of the glowing creature is amazingly consistent, the identification of this creature differs from person to person. It depends mainly on the religious environment in which the person was, upbringing and personal faith.

Christians say that this is Christ, the Jews call the light "an angel", people who do not have faith simply say that they have seen "a luminous being." The "luminous creature" almost instantly transmits a certain thought to the dying person.

As a rule, people with whom I spoke said that this thought was in the form of a question. I have heard such versions of his interpretation: "Are you prepared for death?", "Are you ready to die?", "What have you done in your life that you can show me?" …

At the same time, everyone claims that this question, so deep and summing up that sounds with all the emotional tension, is asked without condemnation at all. Everyone assures that there are no accusations or threats in the question: all the time they felt only the all-encompassing love and support that came from the light, regardless of their answer."

“I hovered around the room and then moved to the veranda. And there it seemed that some kind of cloud began to gather around me, rather a pink fog, and then I floated right through the partition, as if it was not there at all, towards a transparent, clear light. He was beautiful, so shiny, so radiant, but he didn't blind me at all. It was an unearthly light. I didn't really see anyone in this light, and yet it had a special personality. This is absolutely certain. It was the light of absolute understanding and perfect love …"

“At first it was all very difficult, but then I saw a very bright light. It seemed that at first it was a little dull, but then it became a powerful glow. Just a lot of light, nothing but bright, sparkling light. And the warmth from him went to me: I felt warmth.

The light was bright, yellow-white, and more white. And incredible brightness: it covered everything and, at the same time, did not prevent me from seeing everything around: the operating room, doctors and nurses, everything. At first, when the light appeared, I did not really understand what was happening. But then he asked me, as if asking the question - am I ready to die? It was as if you were talking to someone, but you did not see with whom. The light spoke to me, this voice was his. Now I understand that the voice that spoke to me actually understood that I was not ready to die. I felt really good - safe and surrounded by love. The love that came from him is something unimaginable, indescribable. It was so easy with him. And besides that, he even had a sense of humor …"

As soon as I got acquainted with the publication of R. Moody "Life After Life", I immediately wanted to conduct a parallel investigation. Among my friends and relatives, two experienced clinical death during the operation. I first asked if they had read Moody's book. And when he was convinced that it was not, he asked them in detail about their feelings during the operation. The matches with Moody were amazing. There was a flight through a dark tunnel, the end of which was a bright light. There was a sense of bliss and peace. And also the desire not to return to their body, which they looked at from the side …
