Despite her illness, the schoolgirl still played football with friends and climbed trees.

This Cameroon schoolgirl's legs were twisted 180 degrees. Due to growth impairment, an 11-year-old girl named Justine could hardly move - only one road to school, four kilometers long, took her several hours. However, this did not stop the girl from playing football, walking with friends and even climbing trees, reports the Daily Mail.

But thanks to the charity organization Mercy Ships, Justine underwent surgery and twisted her legs in the opposite direction, putting them in place with plaster casts. Five months later, she proudly walked down the stairs on her own.

Justine was born with a disease that causes a limited disorder or stunted growth of the tibia. With age, the condition of the girl's legs worsened, and by the age of 11 it became critical. According to the surgeon, they had to do an osteotomy (artificial bone fracture) and unwind their legs.

“Her favorite hobbies are running, jumping rope, playing football, hiding, climbing trees. And she didn’t let her illness hold her back. Children were often rude to her - they teased and ran away because they knew that she could not catch up with them."
