An unusual incident shook the inhabitants of the Altai Territory. The harvest of watermelons this summer in country and industrial plantings was able to surprise even experienced gardeners and summer residents.
Photographs of the strange patterns covering the peels of the watermelon have been poured into the offices of local newspapers, the Internet and television. Correct concentric and spiral circles, which are located one by one, or merge into whole patterns, "adorned" the harvest of watermelons almost throughout the region.
Locals who have grown such an unusual crop have put forward many assumptions about the origin of these "decorations" and some seriously doubt the edibility of the striped fruits, but those who tried the "decorated" fruits, noted that their taste has not changed.
There are already many versions of the origin of these circles, from the half-joking "aliens instead of circles began to draw on watermelons", to quite serious versions of an epidemic of garden pests or an outbreak of a viral disease. The final answer will be given by scientists after examining the affected fetuses.
