Recently, a video appeared on the network showing that skulls of a strange elongated shape are found not only in Egypt or South America, but also in Russia

Judging by the record, several strange skulls were found by archaeologists in the burial mound and are now kept in the Omsk Museum. Scientists find it difficult to say anything about the origin of the skulls, but they assume that they are at least 1,600 years old.

Due to the fact that these strange finds can cause unhealthy rumors, the museum did not expose the skulls to the public.

“This is a truly amazing sight and can scare people, because the shape of the skull is unusual for humans,” says Igor Skandakov, director of the Omsk Museum of History and Culture.

The main theory of scientists is that the ancient people deliberately distorted the skulls of babies using various tricks and tools. The goals, however, are far from clear.

There is speculation that humans believed that elongated skulls were associated with increased mental performance. "It is unlikely that the ancients knew anything in detail about neurosurgery," says archaeologist Alexei Matveev, "but it is possible that one way or another they were able to develop exceptional brain abilities."

Also among people there is a version that the strange skulls belonged to aliens who visited our planet a long time ago and influenced ancient cultures.

“There are myths about gods who descended from heaven and had elongated heads. They were very respected.”Skandakov says.

Similar skulls have been found all over the world, some of the more famous ones have been found in Central America and South America, in the tombs of local ancient cultures. In 1995, explorer Robert Connolly photographed this elongated skull while on a trip to collect material about ancient civilizations.

This skull is estimated to be tens of thousands of years old. Apart from its obvious abnormalities, it also shows the characteristics of both Neanderthal and human skulls - an impossibility according to anthropology. Neanderthals did not exist in South America.

Like the Russians, many scholars believe that the unusual shape of the skulls might have been the result of a primitive practice known as “skull anchoring,” in which a person's head was artificially pulled with cloth or leather straps, causing the skull to grow in this dramatic way.

However, the most striking thing is that many peoples had such a practice completely distant from each other in terms of time and geography.

In Mexico, among the Mayan gods, the Serpent Gods are known, who wore elaborate, elongated headdresses. It is understood that the Maya upper class wanted to liken their skulls to the heads of the gods.

But why did their Gods wear such elaborate headdresses? Or were their skulls elongated?

Egyptian Gods also wore elongated headdresses, general tie?

Research done by David Childress in Peru, Adriano Forgione in Malta, and Andrew Collins has led to greater knowledge of the practice of elongated skulls.

First of all, it is a rare anomaly that has been found since ancient times in various parts of the world. Elongated skulls delight archaeologists in Egypt, Mexico and Peru, but also in Malta, the Mittani belt of northern Iraq and Syria; and it appears that those skulls that possess such traits were associated with royal or priestly classes.

With the exception of Peru and Mexico, other locations are in close geographic proximity so the possibility that they are all the result of the same source cannot be ruled out.

Civilizations around the world have built pyramids, perhaps not knowing about each other. Other ancient cultures also erected stone dolmens and menhirs all over the world - and yet, we are still taught that they were not related either.

Is it really possible that there was once a civilization that united these cultures? Is that history of civilization, as we know, wrong?
