Scientists from Russia said that in the future, it will take less than three hours to print a person on a 3D bioprinter.

According to experts from the Institute for Problems of Laser and Information Technologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, even the current bioprinters are theoretically capable of printing a person.

In their opinion, in order to create a man weighing 100 kilograms using such technologies, it is necessary to print 10 cells to the 14th power. The current bioprinters are capable of printing such a number of cells in 2 hours and 47 minutes. Modern bioprinters generate up to 100 million pulses per second. In this case, 100 cells come out at once for 1 impulse.

Since a person is not just a set of cells that can be folded like a 3D puzzle, it is not yet possible to print an entire person at once. But individual organs and tissues have already been successfully created using modern 3D printers.

According to scientists, there is hope that in the next decade, people will replace damaged organs with healthy ones, printed using bioprinters.
