The popular film "Avatar" showed everyone how living things can interact with nature. Leading biologists decided to find out if plants have a subconscious. The research results were published in the scientific journal Science.
“Although I saw the film three times, I still cringe every time someone tells me that the plant is conscious. As a biologist, I can admit that consciousness exists in cats, dogs and other animals with complex brains,”said the author of the study. The results show that dogs have a level of intelligence and consciousness - on par with a two or three year old human child.
In order to study the subconsciousness of the plant world, experts conducted a series of studies. Plants of various classes were taken for experiments. There were also predators, like in the movie Avatar itself. Scientists played different music, talked to flowers, and also just told bad stories. All plants were placed in the same conditions, while the dose of light, moisture, and feeding with minerals was the same.
As a result, experts determined that the plants began to show spots on the leaves from negative news, and later they did not absorb fertilizers well. Biologists emphasized that the subconscious in plants manifests itself at a different level. At the moment, it is not known how the flora processes information, but the fact that this process is still happening can be considered a proven fact.
