A resident of the American town of Columbia Folet, Montana, Misty Allabo has been searching for the so-called Bigfoot for almost a quarter of a century. The woman is absolutely sure that he exists, since at the age of 17 she happened to meet with him. It was in October 1993 - it was almost dusk when she and her parents were walking out of the forest after the hunt.
“Suddenly my mom gasped and my dad said to her, 'Look, Mary, he's coming,” says Misty.
Her father worked all his life in the forests and, according to the woman, saw many things that could not even be explained in words. He said that if you leave this creature alone, then it will not harm and will simply go away. So it happened this time, but now Misty saw Bigfoot with her own eyes.
“There was no doubt in my head that it was him,” recalls the American. “There was a small hill, and as he walked, we saw sunlight between his hands and how his hair was flapping in the wind. Then my mother turned to me and asked, "Did you also see the hairy man cross the road?"
After this incident, the desire to learn more about Bigfoot did not leave Misty, and as a result, she can safely say that his constant search has become her main profession.
Looking for Bigfoot, as these mysterious creatures are also called, the lady has visited many places from New Mexico to the Yukon, but most of her unusual finds were made in her home state. Her collection also includes samples of unusual hair, blood marks, and even pieces of droppings allegedly left by a Bigfoot. Each time, Misty carefully checks whether these samples could have been left by ordinary animals living in these places, such as bears.
Allabo has also written two books on Bigfoot and admits that although she is an avid hunter, she would like to take the Bigfoot under special protection. After all, in her opinion, they are not animals at all in the classical sense. Perhaps the intelligence of these creatures will be comparable to that of a human, which explains their phenomenal elusiveness. But the woman hopes that someday the snowmen will stop being afraid of us and it will be possible to establish contact with them. And she would like to be one of the first such contactees.
