This is a kind of Russian Mecca for ufologists and esotericists. Forest People's Refuge?
Actually, the Medveditskaya Ridge itself is located not far from the village of Linevo and is a wooded hill, an arc bordering the steppe valley. The ridge is at least 12 km long. For a long time, incredible things have happened here that scientists cannot yet explain.
So, the old-timers say that deep tunnels pass underground, and, they say, in ancient times, "forest people" lived in them. Although, according to other sources, the dungeons were dug by German colonists who settled here under Empress Catherine II.
Former chairman of the regional executive committee, pensioner Ivan Doroshenko told how at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War they began to create a fortified area here. The boys were sent to the tunnels to find out the situation with the dungeons. However, the boys disappeared without a trace! Several adult men immediately followed, but the same trouble happened to them. There was no time to think because of the approaching Nazi troops, and the catacombs were blown up.
According to some reports, at the moment there is still an entrance to the underground catacombs nearby - on the territory of a nunnery. However, the holy mistresses are not allowed into the monastery of God, explaining simply: the entrances are tightly walled up.
A group of ufologists "Kosmopoisk", well-known in Russia, is studying anomalous phenomena in these places. Every summer they go to the summer camp located on the ridge.

In particular, they tried to find mysterious tunnels at the end of the twentieth century. With the help of echo sounders and drilling, it turned out that there are voids in the depths of 7 to 22 meters wide!
And their length is … 12 km. Unfortunately, the tunnel is located at a depth of 10-12 meters, although it is not possible to penetrate into it. In 1997, one move was found, but it was stoned.
The amazed "anomalies" later watched as a powerful sheaf of light emitted from the excavation at night! This was repeated several nights in a row. However, when people approached the entrance, everything disappeared. It was not possible to find out what this is connected with.
Balls fly in flames
In addition, in this area, fans of anomalous phenomena have repeatedly recorded the departure from the ground … ball lightning. They appear on the so-called Blue Mountain and behave very strangely.
During a thunderstorm, sparkling balls suddenly appear on the slopes of the mountain and rush upward. At the same time, "mad lightning", as ufologists call them, fly at a height of one and a half to two meters, which is established by burns on tree trunks.
When I asked if these were traces of a steppe fire, the head of Cosmopoisk Vadim Chernobrov showed a charred twig. Its end was scorched so evenly, as if it had been cut off by an autogenous blowtorch! Moreover, no traces of fire were noted below the cut.
By the way, all over the area there are strange dips with sheer walls, the edges of which are as if melted. But there are no dumps of soil around the holes. Chernobrov believes that it is from there that fireballs fly out.
Lightning breaks through tunnels?
Once a local farmer came to the UFO camp and complained that the oilmen had drilled a deep hole in his garden. Indeed, a hole with a diameter of about 30 cm was discovered. True, the oilmen clearly had nothing to do with it. For the sake of curiosity, the "anomalies" threw a log into the hole - dull! We threw the second one. But both logs sank somewhere very deep. By the length of the logs, it was estimated that the depth of the entrance to the underworld is at least 15 meters. The pull was clearly felt from below. Then they poured down the gasoline and fired from the flare gun.
Alas, the logs did not catch fire, as the strong air flow knocked down the flame. These circumstances suggest that these holes are directly related to tunnels. The whole question is how to get to them!
That is why a theory was put forward: they say, ball lightning broke through these tunnels. After all, according to archival documents, it turns out that they knew about the dungeons since the time of the Golden Horde! But where does lightning come from?
There is an assumption that their birth is associated with the local soil saturated with iron ore (it has a characteristic red color). According to Chernobrov, ball lightning is the result of "wandering" underground electricity, which generates them. Moreover, lightning moves in the depths strictly along certain geomagnetic lines.
Just arrived, immediately sat down
However, there is one more circumstance - according to Chernobrov, unidentified flying objects (UFOs) are often seen here. They actually chose the ridge. The objects' flight path, nature and speed clearly indicate that they cannot be airplanes, meteorological balloons or anything else. Dozens of UFO sightings have already been recorded! Chernobrov says that in August 1992 he himself witnessed a strange phenomenon, which is confirmed by video filming. Then, against the background of the local mountain Shanghai, the Cosmopoisk expedition noticed at night the silhouette of a huge triangular "plate". In the morning, strange tubes of sintered soil were discovered.
And already in October 1993, it was possible to find the exact landing site of the UFO, which gave an idea of its true dimensions: 50 x 50 x 80 meters. By the depth of the footprints, one could judge the weight of the object - not less than 50 tons.
Then they discovered a clearing with a strange silvery fog. "Anomalies" reported that the fog completely ignored the wind (!), No eddies were formed from the walking people. Particles of fog appeared and disappeared, flashing in the sun with silvery sparkles. The hours of those who visited the clearing began to lag behind, and the exposed parts of the body were badly burned, although it happened in the fall.
However, local residents have repeatedly witnessed the unknown. Many people say that they have seen a UFO. And then mysterious crop circles began to appear, which, according to experts on "skeet", are a real confirmation of the presence of aliens on Earth. At first, Chernobrov was inclined to the same idea: they say, on the ridge, representatives of space civilizations have built a real cosmodrome.
But now he is sure that there is a time portal through which descendants use time machines (they are also UFOs) to penetrate into their past. And they do not come into contact with their ancestors for a simple reason: they do not want to interfere in the course of events, so as not to change their personal future. How true this hypothesis is, the future will show.
