The desire to create a weapon that could be comparable in power to a nuclear one, but would not leave such lasting consequences, has been going on for a long time. And, of course, military experts could not ignore the forces of nature, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, and droughts. If you could put these forces at the service of the army, then it would become invincible. It is these thoughts that apparently arose among the authors who tried to put the forces of nature into military service. Such a set of means, which makes it possible to artificially cause one of the aforementioned phenomena in a specified place, is known as a climate weapon.
Although the development of such weapons is of interest to many countries, in fact, only the United States and Russia own such weapons. Several more are known about US weapons in this direction, and mainly, we are talking about the HARP station. Russia's climatic weapon was not advertised in this way, and therefore little is known about it.
