Scientists at Insilico Medicine have come to the conclusion that the aging process is nothing more than a disease that needs timely treatment.
The general director of the company, Alex Zhavoronkov, together with his colleagues, conducted several comprehensive observations, after which, doctors recorded precedents for classifying the aging process of the body as a disease.
The researchers argue that it is necessary to create a more convenient and detailed classification of the processes associated with the human body. The authors of the study insist that appropriate changes should be made to the International Statistical Classifier of Diseases and Problems that affect both the female and male body.
However, from the point of view of demographers, gerontologists and other specialists in this field, the new initiative looks very controversial.
Meanwhile, doctors agree that by classifying aging as a disease, it will be possible to direct the necessary resources to carry out comprehensive research that will further help reduce the consequences of pathological processes.
