In the building at 49 Kommunisticheskaya, before the Great Patriotic War, there was the regional administration of the NKVD. There is a legend that from the basements there was an underground passage that led to the Ob. And supposedly trolleys went along the laid rails, on which at night the bodies of the shot were taken to the river. There their bodies were loaded onto boats and sent out of the city.
Another legend is associated with a seven-story building on the same street. For many years there was a morgue in the place where house No. 48a stands, and even earlier - the NKVD execution chambers, which were set up in the basements of the former merchant stables. When the builders dug a foundation pit for the foundation of the current seven-story building, they came across a large number of human bones.
Kolchak's gold still excites the imagination of people. No matter how much they looked for it, they still can't find it. There is a version that the admiral left the gold somewhere in Novonikolaevsk. He arrived in our city on the night of November 19-20, 1919, and along with him - five trains and one armored train, which kept the gold reserves of Russia. He spent two weeks in Novonikolaevsk. Many believe that precious bars are still kept in the basements of one of the houses in the city. However, there is no evidence of this.
The Opera and Ballet Theater is one of the main symbols of Novosibirsk. And of course, many legends and myths are associated with it. Among those who are interested in city undergrounds, there is an opinion that there is an entire underground city under the Opera House on Lenin Square. They are sure that there is a bunker for Stalin, which was needed in case the government was evacuated from Moscow. In addition, they say that a railway line has been built on the last underground level from Opera to Novosibirsk-Glavny railway station. True, the representatives of the theater unanimously insist that there is nothing like this here. But the legend is beautiful.
RIDDLES OF TOMSK
For many years it was believed that Sadina was the capital of the ancient state of Artania. Its exact location could not be established for a long time: it was said that it was located at the southern end of the Ural Mountains, then in the area of modern Tobolsk, then generally off the coast of the Caspian Sea. However, in the last quarter of the 20th century, scientists named its exact coordinates. It turned out that Gustina was at the site of Tomsk. This is indirectly confirmed by the results of archaeological excavations that were carried out in the city in the late 80s - early 90s of the last century. Then, at a depth of more than six meters, archaeologists stumbled upon dilapidated stone arches, decayed logs and remains of coal.

It has long been rumored among the residents of Tomsk that there are a myriad of underground passages under the city. They say that with their help thieves robbed shops and organized prison breaks. There is a version that robbers dug tunnels in order to hide in them from pursuit and hide their treasures. There are mentions that these passages are so wide that several carts drawn by three horses could have parted there.
The legend that Alexander I did not die, but faked his own death and disappeared from the world, arose in the 30s – 40s of the 19th century. The sudden death of the emperor from typhoid fever in Taganrog seemed strange to many. This gave rise to rumors that in fact the sovereign did not die, but, tormented by remorse for participating in the murder of his own father, began a hermit life under the name of Elder Fyodor Kuzmich, and another person was buried in his place. As proof, the researchers cite the handwritings of the elder and the emperor. According to scientists, they match. The elder was detained as a vagabond, there were traces of blows with a whip on his back, he did not have any documents with him. On September 10, his case was considered by the court: the detainee identified himself as 60-year-old Fyodor Kozmich Kozmin and could not name his origin. The tramp received 20 blows with a whip and was exiled to hard labor.

Many residents of the village of Imshegal in the Omsk region believe: in the swamp at the head of a small taiga river near the village, the golden carriage of Khan Kuchum is flooded. In this place, according to residents, lightning strikes constantly. Among other points of the "eternal parking" of the carriage is also called Zhivoye Lake, which is located in the vicinity of the village of Koshkul. Allegedly, it was in its dark waters that the legendary khan ordered to throw the carriage, not wanting to give it to his enemies. By the way, in the vicinity of the village there is a hill called Kuchum Mountain.
Near the ruins of the Pokrovskaya Fortress in Maryanovka, navigation devices fail, and the magnetic compass needle begins to rotate wildly. For several kilometers around - no villages, no villages. Even birds rarely fly into these parts. Researchers also try not to stay long. Anxious thoughts, headaches and insomnia are the lot of those who decide to pitch a tent nearby.
Residents of the Kirgap settlement are sure that a shaitan lives near their village, in the floodplain of the Murlinka River. RIDDLES OF KUZBASS
People are often lost near the village of Osinovka, located not far from Kemerovo. Moreover, this happens both with visiting mushroom pickers and with residents of neighboring villages and summer cottages. Some people are never found. Some locals believe that a mysterious forest monster is found here. According to another, more rational explanation, there are many lost in this place just because a lot of mushroom pickers come here. In general, pure mathematics.
It is believed that it is in the Azasskaya cave, not far from the village of Ust-Kabyrza, that one of the most mysterious characters of Kuzbass lives - the Yeti. A large shaggy creature about three meters tall was seen by witnesses near the cave several times. True, there is no evidence of this. But thanks to this legend, more and more tourists come here every year - many want to see the Bigfoot with their own eyes. People even help an unprecedented creature: volunteers from all over Russia came together on purpose to rebuild the path leading to the cave.
There are haunted houses in every city, but only in Mezhdurechensk the ghost lives in one of the cells of the police station. No one can really tell how he looks, but both police and prisoners claim that he appears to him in the form of a bunch of energy. Once the ghost was even recorded on CCTV cameras, although skeptics talk about simple glare. Nevertheless, the staff of the department are trying to somehow explain the appearance of this guest and remember that a man who was injured in a street fight died in the cell. In addition, one of the prisoners hanged himself here, and it was not possible to save him.
