An ambulance delivered a man groaning with severe abdominal pain to a hospital in southern China.

As it turned out later, after a Chinese man had drunk a lot of alcohol the day before, he wanted to experience unusual sensations and somewhere he got two live fish of the Amur loach species (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus), which are often used in Chinese dishes, and stuffed them into his anus.

The incident is reported by the Daily Mail with reference to the Chinese website Huanqui.

The fish suddenly burst further than he expected and ended up in his intestines. The next morning, the man had a high temperature and severe pains in his stomach. He called an ambulance and was taken to the hospital, where, in addition to pain, he was diagnosed with low blood pressure.

After the X-ray, which revealed a foreign body inside the abdominal cavity, the man underwent emergency surgery and removed from the intestines one already dead fish about 15 centimeters long.

But where did the second fish go? The surgeons examined the intestine and found a hole in the wall. Severe pains were caused by the fact that one of the fish, while remaining alive, broke through the intestine and began to move inside the abdomen, rising upward. She was also found and removed, the fish was a little shorter than the first.

The surgeons said that a little more delay and the second fish would reach important internal organs and could damage them, the patient would develop septic shock, which would lead to his death. No, this is not a horror movie plot, but a harsh reality.

But even just a day with live fish inside greatly worsened the health of the man and after the operation he was put in the intensive care unit, since an infectious infection still began inside him.

According to doctors, this is the first time in their practice.
