The university is usually a repository of knowledge, a center of sciences, where unhappy students, dying of boredom, absorb the wisdom of generations and learn all the most modern achievements, in order, of course, to apply them and make our world better and more beautiful.
Many US universities are huge institutions with vast territories, campuses. Obviously, over the decades, a lot has been seen in the dark corners of old campuses that defies explanation. Some universities in America are famous for their supernatural events and almost use them to advertise themselves.
University in Georgia
Located near one of the oldest cemeteries in Georgia, the university has many stories of paranormal incidents. One of its buildings, Bellevue Hall, is the center of similar phenomena. A girl named Emily Gault lived in it in 1861. One of the windows still bears her name, which she scrawled on the glass. She was betrothed and preparing to get married when her fiancé was killed in the Civil War. Upon learning of this, she jumped out of this window. Students report that they often heard the voice of a quarreling couple and footsteps behind them in empty corridors.
University of Illinois
Students of this university have been suffering for many years from the ghost of a girl who drowned in a pool that was once owned by the Faculty of English Studies. A female figure was seen looking out of a third floor window and wandering around the building. Other ghosts at the university include a faceless man seen outside Lincoln Hall looking out of upper-floor windows. Students say that those who encounter this ghost suffer many later failures. One of the students who met him soon hanged himself in his own room.

Pennsylvania State University
The campus of this university is said to be inhabited by dozens of ghosts. The most famous of these is the ghost of Betsy Aardsma, who was killed in the library. Late in the evening, November 28, 1969, Betsy was studying books when she was killed with a single stab in the chest. Her killer was never found. Students claim that they often see a girl who is described as not like Betsy wandering between the library shelves.
Ohio University
If you draw lines between the five cemeteries that surround this university, you get a pentagram, which in itself is not very good. Every university building is said to have at least one ghost. And Washington Hall is home to a whole ghost basketball team. According to legend, the visiting team had such a good time at this university that when they died in full force on the way home, they chose to return here.
