Kenya's Enwaitenet Island can be terrifying for its history. Several dozen people disappeared without a trace in these parts. Locals say that evil spirits are to blame. However, opinions are divided - some attribute everything to the action of wild and gluttonous animals, and someone repeats about the existence of a ghostly hidden city.
The first mysterious events, information about which has reached our days, date back to the first half of the 17th century. At that time, a tribe of natives lived on the shores of the above island, which built a small village. During the construction period, strange and inexplicable things were already manifested: ghosts came at night, after meeting with which, people remained immobilized for some time, as they began to become paralyzed.
Coming out of this terrible state, the victims, out of the blue, received severe injuries leading to death: someone scratched their leg and died of sepsis. Someone drowned in shallow water, and someone choked on food. After a series of these terrible incidents, part of the tribe left far away, so as not to become a victim of ghosts, like their relatives.
For several months the natives did not come to visit their loved ones, and there was no news from the latter. Remembering those terrible events taking place on the island of Envaitenet, they decided to return, but it was too late. The entire tribe that lived in this place disappeared without a trace, leaving behind only household items.
The next unexplained incident occurred in 1935 during an ethnographic expedition. Then a group of scientists came to the above island to study the area. Ethnographers were divided into two teams: one had to go inland, and the other stayed for safety. However, after a couple of weeks, there was no news from the departed group. The island began to be surveyed on land and from the air in order to find lost people. Even the local authorities came to the rescue, which issued a plane for searches, but everything was in vain - the team of scientists disappeared without a trace.
From that moment on, the island of Envaitenet, which the first tribes living in this place called "Irretrievable", was considered abandoned. Now there are about a hundred people living there, but each of them talks about evening visions, when a strange, as if transparent, but at the same moment clearly visible, city appears before people. Allegedly, terrible motives are heard from there, reminiscent of funeral songs.
It is worth noting that after such visions, local residents complain of pain in muscles and joints, as well as severe weakness and nausea, but they continue to live there, although it is not known how long this will last.
