When it comes to Voronezh ghosts, the castle of the Princess of Oldenburg in the Ramonsky district immediately pops up in my memory. But the castle is the castle, so that otherworldly creatures gathered and lived in it. However, there are other equally famous ghosts in the Voronezh region.
Girl and matches
In 2014, thanks to the capital's TV crew, the whole country learned about the ghost of a girl who lived at the telephone exchange of the Repyevsky district. She was accidentally photographed by an employee in the back room. The photo clearly captures not just the silhouette of a child, but the face, hair and even the summer dress in which the girl is wearing is clearly visible.
Local residents say that there was once a merchant's house in the house where the station is located. The little girl, who was not watched by her grandmother, playing with fire, accidentally set herself on fire, and the old woman did not have time to help her granddaughter - the girl died. In horror, seeing what had happened, the grandmother immediately doused herself with kerosene and burned to death.

Liskinsky district is rich in ghosts. The ghost of a black monk still haunts the Divnogorie Museum-Reserve.
They say that several centuries ago a young monk Paul lived in the monastery, who walked through the villages and collected money to cast a new bell (rumored to be gold). When he reached Belogorie, where the robbers lived, he buried the collected money on the banks of the Don.
But Pavel nevertheless fell into the hands of the scammers, although they could not find out where the collected funds were buried. The monk was not killed, but the tortured and half-dead was thrown under the walls of the Belogorsk monastery. When he came to, he could not remember where he hid the money.
Many years later, Pavel became a bishop and, together with the monk Vasily from the Divnogorsk monastery, found himself near the place where the money was buried, and immediately remembered him. On the same day, Pavel became ill, and he died suddenly, having managed to tell Vasily where the money was (according to another version, he told Vasily about the treasure, after which he killed / poisoned him).
Only a week passed, and the young monk was found dead near the bank of the Don, next to a dug hole, which turned out to be empty. Vasily was buried next to Paul, but every summer at the cemetery people see the ghost of a monk who rises from the grave and goes in search of the treasure. Some say that this is Paul, who wants to return the money stolen from him, others are inclined to think that the restless soul of Vasily wanders at night, who is flattered by someone else's.
Ghost with a severed head
Another well-known ghost of the Liskinsky region is a ghost woman near the Tsyurupa sanatorium. The sanatorium is located in the estate of the tsarist general, member of the State Duma Alexander Zvegintsov. When the Bolsheviks requisitioned the estate, they did not find any valuables in the house. They began to torture the housekeeper who remained in the house, who was the general's mistress, but she did not say anything. In anger, one of the commissars cut off the woman's head.
Since then, her ghost wanders through the forest in the vicinity of the sanatorium, carrying a severed head under her arm, and guards the general's treasures.
By the way, the legend of the Tsyurupin ghost echoes the stories about the Venevitian Virgin of the Ramon region.
According to one of the versions, a certain serf girl liked Count Venevitonov, but she had a lover, whom the Count, so as not to interfere, sent to the soldiers. When the girl found out that the owner had separated her from her beloved, she drowned herself in Lake Chistoye, and since then her ghost has appeared on the Venevitinsky cordon.
According to the second version, Venevitinov drowned his wife himself, accusing him of treason, which did not exist. Here is the ghost of his wife and cannot calm down. And finally, there is a third version, according to which the robbers (oh?) Cut off the head of the owner of the estate, because she did not want to tell where she hid the family treasures. And the riches, they say, lie in the swamp, here Venevitinova walks beside them with a severed head, guarding the treasure.
