The whole Shcheglov family gathered in the courtyard of the house. The picture that appeared before journalists was shocking, to put it mildly.
Fang marks and scratches on wooden cages, torn doors, and next to them are the neatly folded corpses of 18 rabbits and one torn off leg. Sergey Shcheglov has not seen anything like this in forty years of animal breeding. According to him, the bloody massacre occurred literally in two and a half hours, while the whole house was asleep. The dog in the street did not make a sound. Who was she so scared of?
Only two out of 23 rabbits survived. Sergei Scheglov says that in two other villages the tracks are exactly the same.

The beast, if it's a beast, is, of course, quite selective. There are chickens and geese nearby, and give him only rabbits. True, he did not eat them, but simply beat them to death. Zoologist Andrei Zinoviev is inclined to assume that an individual from the canine family, perhaps not even one, made a foray into the Shcheglovs' yard. There were paw prints in the yard.
Breeder Lyubov Rafikova agrees that dogs can do this. She has been breeding Tibetan Mastiffs and Central Asian Shepherd Dogs for more than 20 years and has thoroughly studied the character of the wards. But according to her, it may not be about domestic dogs. It is unlikely that the homeless, those who wander around the village around the clock, will do this either.
The Internet is full of stories of such attacks. The pet killer is called the Chupacabra. This is a mythical creature unknown to science. How just do not describe it. Something like a lizard, a coyote and even a dinosaur. Andrei Zinoviev listens with a smile to the suggestion that a chupacabra in the form of a dog is wielding near Likhoslavl. But, as it turned out, this is no joke. According to the zoologist, the chupacabra is not some unknown animal, but the state of a certain animal that goes into a rage. In this case, most likely dogs. Andrey Zinoviev advised local hunters to bypass the territory where the attacks took place and find a lair. Today the beast is interested in rabbits, and tomorrow, maybe people?
