It is no secret that animal species unknown to science are found, as a rule, in poorly studied and difficult-to-pass areas. However, even in long-inhabited and densely populated North America, a creature may appear that can shock not only zoologists, but also seasoned hunters

More recently, a resident of Cuero (Texas, 129 km southeast of San Antonio) Phyllis Canyon found the corpse of a mysterious beast hit by a car near her ranch. After living for four years in Africa, she hunted a lot of zebras and other exotic animals, but the discovered creature surprised even her. "This is some kind of mysterious mutant," said Canyon, showing reporters the head of a mammal with large ears, protruding fangs and grayish-blue skin, almost devoid of hair.

Phyllis said that in July this year, she and her neighbors discovered the corpses of three such creatures, each weighing about 18 kilograms. Canyon put the head of one of them in the refrigerator for DNA analysis. And in the near future zoologists should do it.

According to the Canyon, the mysterious animal is nothing more than the legendary bloodsucker Chupacabra. In this regard, Phyllis believes that over the past two years, it destroyed 26 of her chickens that were not eaten - all the blood was literally sucked out of them. “I've seen a lot of horrible things, but I've never seen anything like it,” the former hunter admitted. “I think this creature has something of a wolf. In theory, it should be a cross between two or three different kinds of animals."

Be that as it may, the enterprising Canyon decided to use her find for commercial purposes: she made a whole batch of T-shirts with a caricature of the beast and the inscription "2007, summer of the Chupacabra, Cuero, Texas", which are successfully sold worldwide for $ 5.

Recall that the phenomenon of chupacabra, which literally translated from Spanish means “sucking goats” (chupar - to suck, cabra - goat), has been known since 1995: it was then in Puerto Rico that a strange attack on sheep was recorded when animal carcasses wounds were left that looked like traces of a vampire. Since then, eyewitness testimony regarding the appearance of the predator has diverged, but many of them still believe that the chupacabras are the result of genetic experiments. Who knows: maybe the mutant from Texas was not created by Mother Nature …
