Nobody understood why the 87-year-old millionaire did it, but hundreds, more precisely, thousands of people started looking for the treasure. However, no one has yet managed to find the chest. Forest Fen, who participated in the Vietnam War, a former art dealer, a collector, wanted to make it so that his memory would be preserved for a long time. Almost thirty years ago, he was diagnosed with cancer. Fenn decided that this was the end of his life. But analyzes carried out later showed that he did not have oncology. By this time, the chest with millions already rested somewhere among the mountains. However, Fenn left everything as it was, did not return to the mountains for his treasure.
The year 2010 has come. Forest Fenn's book "The Thrill of the Chase" has been published. In it, the millionaire tells the seekers how to find the treasured chest. He says that the twenty-kilogram chest contains art, antiques and much more valuable. All of this is buried in the Rocky Mountains, just north of Santa Fe. This section stretches for 4800 kilometers, covering about one hundred thousand square kilometers.
The locations of the treasures can be found using the nine clues available for the book. Thousands of people are involved in the search. They even banded together into online communities. Are there results? According to Vox.com, almost half of the clues (four out of nine) were found.
The following is now known about the location of the chest. It is stored at an altitude in excess of two thousand meters above sea level. The storage place is neither the ruins of the building, nor the cemetery. This place has nothing to do with the states of Utah and Idaho.
