The incident took place on January 12 in the English city of Salford, Greater Manchester. Lorna Hoy noticed numerous sores on the body of her son Kalo and took him to the hospital. The 27-year-old mother has repeatedly consulted doctors, but only at the third examination did doctors diagnose herpes in the child. The doctors suggested that the disease was transmitted during the kiss. “He was diagnosed with mouth ulcers and was injected with drugs to prevent the infection from spreading to his eyes. He could go blind, - recalls Lorna. - I heard that babies die from this virus. I think Kahlo survived only because he was almost two years old at the time."
Doctors promptly provided Kahlo with medical assistance, as a result of which his condition returned to normal. Lorna noted that the boy's face had scars from the disease.
